No luck today mate
Any views on Southern National i like CHASMA 12/1 for it
November 14, 2019 at 18:17 #1474831I’m definitely waiting till final decs Darren.
Not 100% I’ll be betting on it, but I’ll let you know.
November 18, 2019 at 17:32 #1475303Bob you love weekend big staying handicaps all over the gaffe one at Haydock 3m4 race 2nd last race any views
My bets this weekend be
FRODON 6/1
BORICE 10/1
Capeland 4/1
If the Cap fits 3/1November 19, 2019 at 16:58 #1475361Mate has TRF Forum change when go on forums page seems like the last post author name very small and out of date as well.
November 19, 2019 at 17:35 #1475365Yeah Darren, slight glitch at the moment, and it’s getting looked at.
As for the weekend, I’d love to see Frodon win for you, but I’ll happily sit it out.
Certainly be playing the other ones, but only bets are in The Troytown so far….
Burgas 20’s
Prince of Scars 33’sNovember 23, 2019 at 11:25 #1475605Not betting much at all just now, and can’t believe how little I’m betting, especially Cheltenham last weekend.
It was decent enough though, with Brelan D’As and Gumball placing, not to mention my old pal Neverushacon placing at 18’s in The Risk Of Thunder.
Real lowlight was Foxboro Road at Punchestown. Had a few quid at 20’s+, and he got hammered before race, into 8’s. Still bang there, and he went and slipped on the bend. I could easily have laid beforehand, but I was confident FFS. I’ve mentioned him before, and I’m sure he’ll come again.
I’m continuing my quiet November today, as it’s a traditional losing month for me, but I’ll chance these guys….
Tedham
Sharp Response
Diego Du CharmilGreat racing today, and I’ll enjoy the majority of it without a punt.
November 24, 2019 at 12:08 #1475767Yet again, decent enough day yesterday, without actually having a winner.
Decent EW with Tedham, along with the EW on Sharp Response, and a nice profit in running with Diego Du Charmil. This approach still paying it’s way, so it looks the way forward for me.
Main hope today is Burgas in The Troytown, but market suggests he’s not winning this. For all this is a big competitive handicap, I think that I’m as confident I could be in a race like this, that Chris Dream and Discorama will be right there at the finish.
Winter Escape is a long term favourite of mine on here, and I’m pinning my hopes on him being perfect for The Paddy Power at Christmas.
Elsewhere on the card, I’ll have each ways on….

MindsmadeupHoping for a big run from Bigbadandbeautiful in the last, but too short for me. Interesting at 25’s for Mares Novice though.

November 30, 2019 at 11:05 #1476184Delighted with Chris’s Dream last Sunday. Proper got me out of jail in The Troytown, and he did it well. One of my favourite races of the season, but don’t have a great record in it, so well happy.
Love this Newbury meeting, and very happy to have sat it out yesterday though.
Main hope today is Dingo Dollar. However, despite the opinion that this isn’t a good renewal, that’s not the case at all. This is the best renewal we’ve seen in years, many years. There’s half a dozen (at least) potential Gold Cup Horses, as well as real live Aintree contenders, along with some unexposed sorts. Incredibly strong race. If I’m right about those horses being Gold Cup Horses, then Dingo has his work cut out, if I’m wrong, then I’m chuffed with my 33’s.
That also applies to the backups. I’ll do Commodore and Daklondike in running, as should get a chance that way, while I just can’t leave Regal Encore alone.
Elsewhere on the card, I’m interested in Jerrysback this year, but haven’t decided on him today. I’m also having a long look at another JP horse, No Comment. Not decided on him today either, but it’s short enough for him. He’s clearly incredibly well handicapped, but I really see him as a big player in The Kim Muir, so a place would suit me fine. Probably best I leave him.
One horse I have bet is Soul Emotion. I nearly bet him Antepost, but couldn’t risk him after his issues. I did manage to nab the 20’s though, and I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t go close.
Low key renewal of The Rehearsal Chase, but having missed the 14’s on Captain Redbeard, I’m happy enough with 10’s (though more at 15-2). I’ve also went with Rock On Fruity at 50’s, for all this grade asks a big question. I like him on course form and Eider run, while I just like Captain Redbeard on that comeback run, and also the fact that they’ve served Aintree.
Dingo Dollar 33’s EW
Regal Encore 40’s EW 6 Places
Soul Emotion 20’s EW 5 Places
Captain Redbeard 10’s
Rock On Fruity 50’s EWDecember 3, 2019 at 18:44 #1476472Any views on Peterborough chase mate
Also you love this weekend with staying handicap chases at Sandown and Chepstow and on sunday a 4m race as well so any early views on them i get weekender tomorrow so have form in there
December 3, 2019 at 21:49 #1476489Hi Darren, you’re right, quite simply one of the best racing weekends every year.
No strong view on The Peterborough Chase. Too many of them with a few different options. Never a race I go mad on, but I’ll have a look after Final Decs.
I love that London National, and gun to my head, I would go for Dark Flame, but there’s half a dozen I like in it, not to mention my old pal Houblon Des Obeaux.
This moment, I like the Mulholland pair, Carole’s Destrier or Impulsive Star.
Love that 4 Miler on Sunday, and still can’t believe I had a runner in it with Outlaw Tom. Eight bloody years ago, time flies.
Age has to catch up with him some time, but I just won’t be deserting Harry The Viking.
December 6, 2019 at 17:10 #1476648As I said to Darren the other day, one of the best weekends of the year.
Seriously good days racing, and I’m bloody working, and a combination of that, along with too many hot races, means I’ll not be betting much.
Aintree
It’s a very decent renewal of The Becher, and I’ve decided to go with Regal Flow as well as my Antepost pick As De Mee. I haven’t bet Regal Flow yet, just trying to get 100’s EW 5 Places. I can’t split previous winners Vieux Lion Rouge or Walk In The Mill. I might add VLR to cover, but undecided as of now.The Grand Sefton looks too tough, so I will stick with Gwencily Berbas each way, for all I like Gold Present.
Sandown
The Tingle Creek is a race that always passes me by, but not this year. A fantastic renewal, and I’ll have an interest with Politologue. It’s usually a bit overhyped, but it really does look a cracker, and is the race of the day for sure. The 1425 is not my kind of race at all, but I’ve been following Man Of Plenty for a few months, but only bet him the once. He took this last year, and he’s worth an interest.
The London National looks a cracking renewal. The head says Caroles Destrier, the heart says my old pal Houblon Des Obeaux. I’ll bet both, and that means having to pass over Sharp Response, who looks to have a big chance.
Navan
For a horse who I thought was Gold Cup Class, then Tout Est Permis must have a serious chance over timber, but missed the price. I’ve went for an outsider though, Dromore Lad, who at a huge price, must have a solid ew chance. The Foxrock is an incredibly strong renewal, and I’m looking like siding towards Ex Patriot and Whisperinthebreeze, but it’s so tough, I’m not 100%. Ben Dundee looks to have major potential as well.
Coko Beach is a serious looking horse for later in the season, so hoping for quiet spin tomorrow.

December 12, 2019 at 20:04 #1477141Very pleased it was small amounts the other day, as there wasn’t much doing, bar a lay in running for As De Mee.
Not a very strong card at Cheltenham tomorrow, and I think that the fact I’m looking forward to a horse at Dundalk the most, Johan The Great, speaks volumes lol. Not betting him unless he’s a price, as I think he could be one for next year.
Still got Neverushacon to look forward to though.

Cyclop.Mate remember race he won here 2years ago i still see it now think he not win it thank god he did though.December 26, 2019 at 10:39 #1478073Hi Darren, hope you had a nice Christmas.
I remember that Cyclop race well.
After two good weekends in a row, I’m itching to get involved today, but far too much good racing to get involved with, so being very careful.
Already made my profit on The King George, but I’ll be shouting on Lostintranslation, as I’ve got him for The Cheltenham Double.
Horses I’m not betting today, but ones that I’m very interested in for Cheltenham, are Master Tommytucker and Tedham. Haven’t bet Master T yet for RSA, but 33’s is big, while I took same price for Tedham in The Pertemps.
Few bets today…
Myplaceatmidnight
The Mouse Doctor
Eragon De Chanay…and if any of them go well, also
Supamous
Best of luck with yours mate
December 26, 2019 at 23:49 #1478166Happy enough with The Mouse Doctor placing at 10’s today, and that set me up nicely for Supamouse nicely at 7-2. I couldn’t believe that price for him. I had said I’d only bet him if one of the others ran well, but he was a lot shorter when I wrote that. If I’d have thought for a minute he’d have been as big as 7-2, I’d have been betting him anyway.
Kings George has never been a big betting race for me, and that’s how it’ll continue. Delighted to have taken the money early doors for this one, and I’ll be looking for a similar approach for the 2020 renewal. Although I had money on The Lostintranslation Double, it was great to sit back and enjoy it with money in the pocket.
The Paddy Power Chase looks a cracker yet again.
I remain hopeful of Winter Escape, but market not that encouraging. I’ll go with more than one in the race, and it’ll almost certainly be Whisperinthebreeze and Vieux Morvan, but the presence of No Comment is causing me a proper headache.
I’ll stick with West Approach in The Welsh National, and I’ve went with Eddiemaurice at 12’s in the last at Kempton.
December 28, 2019 at 01:55 #1478289Got away with it in The Paddy Power. Obviously a big bet on Winter Escape, and as per usual, lay in running, as they headed for home got me ahead. Really did think he was going to do it, but not to be. Vieux Morvan and Whisperinthebreeze certainly ate into the profit, but Winter Escape was my biggest bet of the season, so happy to come out ahead.
On a side note, what a bloody good race it was again, and as much as I love The Welsh National, The Paddy Power is much better in every aspect, and it’s a mystery why it doesn’t get a bigger billing.
Welsh National was a washout for me, and I also added Yala Enki shortly before the off.
Nice ew from Eddiemaurice, even with a R4 attached. I went in again on him after the Non Runner, and got it back in the straight. Hardly massive bets on him, but I’ll take it.
December 28, 2019 at 12:00 #1478346Bob how FITZHENRY not win it all over look like collecting a 14/1 ante post winner gutted
