and shes been campaigned pretty fearlessly too, unlike many other precious beasts…

November 9, 2006 at 13:01 #80824How many times did Islington beat the older colts? Ouija Board has done twice.
November 9, 2006 at 13:10 #80825DJ,
The older colts that Islington raced against were far superior to the colts OB raced against. Are you suggesting that David Junior and the likes are better than High Chaparall, Nayef, Rakti or Falbrav? I strongly doubt they would get near them if they met…. As for Russian Rhythm, far superior to OB.

November 9, 2006 at 13:45 #80826Her last eleven runs have all been in group ones in six different countries in almost exactly a year
Thats quite a sequence. Nothing to do with her rating I suppose, but its a helluva an achievement in itself
And if she is overrated (which i dont believe) ? Well at least we have seen all she has got to give rather than leaving the stage with quite a few question marks hanging over her
November 9, 2006 at 13:56 #80827Clive,
If she was a colt do you think she would have been kept in training after her three year old career?

November 9, 2006 at 16:20 #80828I think given the owners attitude to racing ( so we are led to believe maybe) the answer would be yes, but maybe no longer than 4.
but is it my imagination that fillies and mares seem to hold their form better as they get older? Maybe we just get attached to them more but the parrallels (but pray not the end) with triptych for one, are strong
