July 6, 2019 at 09:34 #1447736A fab day of racing and I will be taking on Enable today. If she is ever going to get beat it will be today over a short trip on quick ground. Regal Reality has been aimed at this race and is a typical Stoute improver who has everything in his favour. He will run a big race. A few other bets as well:
£50ew Regal Reality – 7-1 (15-2 bet boost on Laddies) – Coral Eclipse placed
£25ew Via Serendipity – 7-1 – 3.35 Sandown lost
£50 win Klassique – 5-2 – Haydock 2.40 lost
£50 win Mekong – 5-2 – Sandown 4.45 lost
£3 win Yankee the above plus First Eleven"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
July 6, 2019 at 11:32 #1447758I’ve also played Klassique, Joni.
Formwise the race might be quite tight, but with the sharp nosed man
she has the best rider on board
Best of luck
July 6, 2019 at 11:59 #1447763Thanks HB. I loved her dam! Fingers crossed.
One more for today:
£25ew Twist n’ Turl – 12-1 – Chelmsford 2.50 lost

July 7, 2019 at 09:51 #1447898A disappointing day with a couple of near misses but great to see the Queen back. What a filly she is.
I have one bet today in France. Space Blues was unlucky not to win at Ascot but I think he is a very good horse and worth taking on last years champ who must be vulnerable over this shorter trip.
£75ew Space Blues – 4-1 – Prix Jean Prat, Deauville placed
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
July 9, 2019 at 10:11 #14480361 bet for today. Clon Coulis ran a cracker at Ascot and can repeat her win from last year.
£150 win Clon Coulis – 15-8 – Pontefract 3.15 lost
£25rev f/c Clon Coulis and Billesdon Brrok"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
July 9, 2019 at 15:25 #1448075Jamie Spencer is such a moron, Joni.
He still thinks of himself as a superstar who can easily roll the field, but then he must find out that they don’t wait for him
Today was not the first time that he did so and won’t certainly be the last time..July 9, 2019 at 15:49 #1448076Spencer is a held merchant. I don’t see anything wrong with the ride though?
Looked a decent pace also look were the winner came from.July 9, 2019 at 15:59 #1448077The one jockey I avoid like the plague, only back him if hes on a front runner
He rides every other horse like its pegasus
July 9, 2019 at 18:17 #1448082There was simply everything wrong with this ride!
And not only with this one of his
July 9, 2019 at 20:09 #1448091Outstanding jockey in his prime
maybe not so much now, he did retire many years ago
but love watching him, nearest thing to Richard HughesGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 9, 2019 at 22:53 #1448101I’m in the avoid camp as far as Mr Spencer goes, agree with Final Furlong.. but Pegasus would have dozed off by the time Frank got cracking.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 10, 2019 at 09:33 #1448122Whilst I agree with many of the comments I just don’t think the horse picked up. It wasn’t like he was closing hand-over-fist was it?
I keep waiting for the winning streak to hit as it has done every year so far but as yet…. Never mind we’ll crack on. I have had an early bet on Mirage Dancer for tomorrow. I can’t see why he isn’t favourite for this. He travelled like the best horse in the Hardwicke and was only beaten because his jockey hasn’t ridden enough Frankel’s to know that they need to be set alight further out. By the time he got working on him the faster horses had whizzed by. I doubt Ryan will make the same mistake down that long straight at Newmarket.
£200 win Mirage Dancer – 9-4 – Newmarket 3.35 lost
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
July 10, 2019 at 09:40 #1448123Another one:
£100 win Barbados – 3-1 – Newmarket 1.55 lost
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
July 10, 2019 at 10:17 #1448129Good luck with your bets Joni at our favourite racecourse. I’ll have a saver on Mirage Dancer at 9/4 and put him in the forecast with Masar.
I can’t be there tomorrow but looking forward to being there to see QABALA hopefully win the Falmouth on Friday, but wouldn’t rule out a big run from Mot Juste
Also there for the July Cup on Saturday and hoping Limato turns up.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 12, 2019 at 09:03 #1448312Hope you have a lovely day today Jac. I’m with you on Qabala.
I hate to moan about jockeys as they are only human but I have to say I was appalled at the ride Ryan gave Mirage Dancer yesterday. It takes something to get caught in a pocket in a 6 runner race at Newmarket and yet that is what happened. He also knew he was riding a horse that needs a strong gallop and that doesn’t quicken yet he seemed happy to just sit there in a slowly run race. It was dreadful and the horse had no chance.
This is a challenging season to say the least but I’ll give it until the end of this meeting before maybe taking a break. It’s just not been happening this year but I know how quickly things can turn around. So on to today and several bets at Newmarket and York.
£25ew Solid Stone – 11-1 – Newmarket 1.50 lost
£100 win Daahyeh – 6-4 – Newmarket 2.25 lost
50ew Outbox – 15-2 – Newmarket 3.00 lost
£50ew King’s Advice – 10-1 – Newmarket 3.00 winner
£50 win Qabala – 7-2 – Newmarket 3.35 lost
£100ew Ironclad – 3-1 – York 3.45 non-runner
£2ew 5 fold, £2ew 4 fold, £5ew trebles, £5ew doubles"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
