Can only see Churchill improving at three and he’s pretty good now. Well grown, but most of his size take time to grow in to that frame. Another massive positive is the way he moves, has that beautiful fluent stride indicative of Galileo’s best horses. Ideal temperament too, relaxed and (I disagree aout the “flat spot”) just think he waits to be asked and then gives everything. Form on first look doesn’t look great, but it wasn’t truly run so wvery few horses would go clear under those conditions. Runner-up Lancaster Bomber favoured both by running on the golden highway up the rail and an easy lead – flattered. Churchill having come from further back and wider quite a bit better than winning distance suggests. He’s a miler imo. Shame Blue Point didn’t stay even a steadily run 7f, but there’ll be better days as a sprinter next year. Seven Heavens is a much better horse than shown there if only holding himself together. South Seas probably needs a softer surface and further now, action isn’t one for anything with firm in the title and heard Jim describe him as “heavy-topped”. Surprised he turned up here rather than the Racing Post. Thunder Snow ran well, reversing Champagne Stakes form with Rivet who was a touch disappointing.
