Massqid.Ran in opener at Sandown very good performance by this Godsen horse.May 21, 2010 at 20:09 #296427Haven’t been betting on 2yos since the Brocklesby, but BOOM!!!!!!!!!! Holy Roman Emperor is now up to 4 winners in the New Crop Sires race.
Will start betting on 2yos now though, as I’ve just spent $300 in the past couple of hours on GW Smith’s GSV program.

Strong Suit
Massqid.Ran in opener at Sandown very good performance by this Godsen horse.I’ve been looking at the Coventry and 2 qualify on my trends – Strong Suit + Retainer, with a negative against Retainer on the trends.
Samuel Morse is the only one in the betting who could also qualify, but he needs to improve about 12lbs in tomorrow’s Marble Hill.
Strong Suit right now is as good as banker material IMO. Putting him in a Lucky 15 with Nicconi (King’s Stand), Twice Over (Prince of Wales’ Stakes) and Goldikova (Queen Anne) would not be a bad idea at all.
June 7, 2010 at 12:33 #299261Other 2YO i like have been Strong Suit and a Prendergast horse called Longhunter who looks very impressive

MaaqsidJune 27, 2010 at 23:34 #303530Like the Prendergast filly Seeharn, beat the decent Moonlit Garden comfortably a few days ago in what could turn out to be a decent race. Will be following her with interest.
Also looking out for Glor Na Mara, interesting Bolger colt that was withdrawn today from the Railway.

I’d have to agree: having said which, Moonlit Garden’s good showing – as with Marlinka, who scooted home yesterday in a valuable conditions race at Windsor, nicely clear of a good field including the Windsor Castle 3rd – showed how decisive a factor the Queen Mary draw was at Ascot.
June 28, 2010 at 13:44 #303602I think Elzaam could prove to be very special.
July 4, 2010 at 22:14 #304701When will entries come out for the derby next year
Anyone seen any derby horses yet as well.
July 5, 2010 at 13:20 #304782The entries for next year’s Derby were made last December, Darren.

Just the 400 of them, not including any horses that Khalid Abdullah or Godolphin will supplement next April.
Horses that are Doubtful are those that have been gelded.
Horses that haven’t been named yet go by their dam’s name, and have an 00 in front.
400 paying £2500, that’s £1m prize money already.
July 6, 2010 at 16:57 #305067Question for you guys cn you see Maaqisid get a mile next year or will she be a sprinter
July 7, 2010 at 01:03 #305138Maqaasid.
http://www.pedigreequery.com/maqaasid
Descended from the great broodmare Height of Fashion, so one would normally say 8-10f no problem.
However, they’ve got to Maqaasid via mating with Mr Prospector, then with Storm Cat, then with Green Desert.
I’d still reckon she’d get a mile. I’d have thought she’d run in the 1000 Guineas anyway, as there really isn’t an alternative.
Entered in the Nunthorpe, which at least shows that Gosden thinks a lot of her. Think of it this way, if one has a very good 2yo filly, one would aim her at the Queen Mary. After that, what does one do? The Cheveley Park ain’t until October.
July 7, 2010 at 01:13 #305139Aunts have won the 1000 Guineas and come 4th in the Oaks in the past two seasons.
Uncle is Mawatheeq, about whom the jury is still out after Saturday’s non-performance.
July 9, 2010 at 21:20 #305722Date With Destiny won tonight any thoughts on her
