Nick Alexander trained Elvis Mail has retired from racing, though I understand he’s now retraining for competition in other fields.

Pat Morris trained sprinter Brian The Snail has been retired following yesterday’s win at Southwell. He was the winner of 15 out of 102 of his races.

I’m sad that I missed Brian’s last race as I always looked out for him and Custard the Dragon.

I always used to get the Magic Roundabout theme tune in my head when I saw Brian The Snail was running. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
