TDH has come back in a bit on the exchange
don’t think a lot was traded at the bigger prices,
thought the Gosden update was quite promising myself
from what I read about the setback you can still do quite a bit of swimming to keep a horse ticking overGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
April 18, 2019 at 09:34 #1417998Too Darn Hot last matched at 8.8 on BF
April 18, 2019 at 09:43 #1418000Jack, Madhmoons trainer said last week
“He’s come out of the race well and he’ll go wherever the ground is more suitable, which will probably be Newmarket. “The ground was very soft the other day, and he was beaten by a race-fit horse. “Our horse will come on for the run, and his two runs last year were on fast ground – which suits him much better. “He’s a possible for Newmarket.
If the ground isn’t right, or we feel he wants more time, we could wait for the Irish Guineas – that’s the story.”
April 18, 2019 at 15:50 #1418030Ginger, I’ve already extensively explained what I meant with hype, but you try to ignore this and wipe it away,
I have asked where the explanation is, Mr Hein. Because I’ve spent a long time looking for one and can’t find any. You’ve failed to say where and only repeated that he’s over-hyped – which is no explanation as to why.
Fair enough, I won’t ask again and draw my own conclusions.
Value Is EverythingApril 18, 2019 at 16:39 #1418033Too Darn Hot weak on the machine, but so is Magna Grecia – out to 14/1.
Value Is EverythingApril 18, 2019 at 17:14 #1418035Are you a bit sick under your hat, or what?
Draw what you want, but get away from me!April 18, 2019 at 21:53 #1418054Jack, with “fair to Calyx” I mean that Gosden should really examine if Calyx is or can become a miler,
instead of pushing him away into the sprint department.Ok- so by doing what? firing him straight into a Guineas after being out since last June?
He might well end up in the SJP at Royal Ascot yet.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!April 18, 2019 at 22:54 #1418062I know it looks that way Jack.
I would back him for this, but not for the bloody sprint race on 1st May.
Also I have a bet in Germany on that day, and one bigger one per day is enough..April 19, 2019 at 09:52 #1418231Why would you back a horse that’s only run over 6f for a 2000G off near a year off but not back him for a sprint race? Personally backing him first time up isn’t something i’d fancy doing anyway.
I just don’t understand the anger in here at all!

About Calyx we should leave it there, you have your opinion and I got mine.April 19, 2019 at 21:12 #1418304Hey All! I’ve been reading this forum for over a year now and after quite a few problems getting a username sorted I’ve finally set up. Love reading everyone’s comments and opinions, there are many strong ones and the passion is awesome! GT your fine detailed views are not everyone’s cup of tea but I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts, find them very informative and the way you challenge everything is a great way for me to look again and again at my own opinion and decison, keep up the good work! Anyway, onto the Guineas, for me Calyx has surely a big question mark over him that needs answering after such a long time out and only 2 runs. He might not ever be the horse we saw at Ascot again. Definitely will get targeted at the SJP in my view and it could add extra spice to that, but he’s surely unbackable at the moment. He was never going to the Guineas as soon as JG opened his mouth and hinted that earlier this year, but I’d go nowhere near him after such a long layoff even if he did. My antipost is Madhmooon, who is definitely over priced at 20s and all that is about to go now, mostly 16s and 14s, just hope they do go there with him. The biggest thing I want to say though is what a massive shame this Guineas is. Was supposed to be Too Darn Hot v Quorto and now neither of them and throw in calyx getting injured and man we’ve been robbed of an all time classic Guineas!

April 19, 2019 at 22:19 #1418312Welcome to TRF Frenchy15
interesting that Calyx has been mentioned for the SJP, I thought he’d be Commonwealth bound
possible indication that TDH may step up in trip, not that he has run at a mile yetGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
April 20, 2019 at 01:42 #1418347I was just thinking today thank goodness John Gosden didn’t train Frankel he’d have had him shipped away to stud before he’d past ‘The Bushes’ on his way to winning the 2000 Guineas.

April 20, 2019 at 16:43 #1418658In my sole annual contribution to the Flat, TDH is out!
April 20, 2019 at 16:52 #1418660Surprise, surprise
Now they can try to market him as a stallion, particularly at the fees they once probably had in mind,
might not become too easy..April 20, 2019 at 17:02 #1418661What do you even mean Hein lol
