Was it the ground or the Altior race but a shame to see him end up knackered and on the deck
19 runner novice chases over 3M 1F, those were the days now we’re lucky to get double figures
Great read , so many names I’d forgotten about. Due to my work I used to go racing mid week as I worked weekends and it’s so true what has happened to these meetings
The next card switched to Wolves so there must be some concerns somewhere
Last day for Dessie, despite everything I will miss his calls on ATR
February 15, 2018 at 20:34 in reply to: Would a proper "Championships" of British racing enhance our sport? #1342411They need to do things differently than what happens now to make an impact such as races over different distances like a 6F hurdle race or handicaps like dog races with horses getting lengths starts on others with the best off scratch, instead of copying be innovative and try something new
They seem confident of the meeting going ahead despite the weather although will be omitting the 4th down the back and one down the home straight, hope it doesn’t end up like Exeter on Monday as you may as well abandon it
Doesn’t look like any significant rain coming in the next week so BDM won’t be getting anything like heavy ground come next Tuesday , Might Bite must be a certainty now
Another couple ran like dogs today, wouldn’t put a penny on any of hers for now
