Sorry, my stream ended with the race. Is he okay? As he took a quite tiring fall.
Thank you for any news regarding him and Traffic Fluide

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
February 15, 2020 at 15:53 #1482990Thanks, Nathan.
I reckon both up on their feet. That’s great news.
Hope you’re not talking about their ratings????
February 15, 2020 at 15:56 #1482994I leave ratings to ginger and SteveCaution
just delighted to see Cyrname get back up as I thought the worse as he was down for a fair whileGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
February 15, 2020 at 16:00 #1482997Both falls concerned me a lot more than their future ratings. Strange that Cobden didn’t pull him up, after the 50/1 flew past him. I mean there must be more races left in the horse than a third place today.
About his rating, well the crazy handicapper might rise him a pound or two for being foot perfect at the ditches. You never know…..
February 15, 2020 at 16:12 #1483000Just glad there both up , reg rating I think most of us knew regardless of ratings he isn’t the best chaser out of here
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 15, 2020 at 18:47 #1483033Was it the ground or the Altior race but a shame to see him end up knackered and on the deck
February 16, 2020 at 22:37 #1483114It was the best result of the a day when Cyrname got up and walked away.
Paul Nichols reported he had eaten up and although a little stiff was showing no cause for concern this morning. He’s out for the season while they try to figure out what’s ailing him, hopefully it’s easily fixed and we’ll see him back next year.
Wish him well
Also good to see Traffic Fluide rise unscathed.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 18, 2020 at 20:50 #1483256Cyrname ran a brilliant race to beat Altior. Whichever is the better doesn’t matter, they’re the best two horses in training!!! However, taking each other on on reappearances may well have taken a bit out of them. Reports afterwards on Altior’s wellbeing weren’t great and the Henderson horse took time; not racing from 23rd Nov to 8th Feb. Cyrname only absent just over a month. If reappearance was a tough race to recover from… King George – racing over further than ever, on testing ground, against last year’s winner – even tougher! Six weeks between races usually enough but probably not this time. Had been out on his feet at Kempton. Not surprising again below form in Ascot Chase. On paper had plenty in hand there and (unlike most horses) Cyrname has very few races to aim for in the remaining half season – in all probability best right handed. Not surprising (and can’t blame connections for) took his long odds-on chance at Ascot. At least a lack of suitable opportunities mean will be given a long rest now. Hard races and bad falls sometimes leave their mark on both temperament and/or previously impressive leaping. Fingers crossed we see this wonderful racehorse back to his best next season.
Value Is EverythingFebruary 18, 2020 at 21:26 #1483259As Ginge pointed out there aren’t many spring targets for this horse. He is a genuine winter horse who needs proper ‘ winter’ ground. Aiming him at both Ascot G1 chases (1965 Chase and the BF Chase) besides the KG is the only logical approach.
His first win of the season clearly left it’s marks, but it would be interesting to see how he’ll perform next year at this same venue and maybe at other tracks as well. I’m thinking of Haydock right now.
If Nichols thinks that he might be a 3 mile horse, why not go for the BF Chase 1st time out. True, the going at Haydock is mostly on the soft side, but why not giving the BF-KG-route a go?
February 18, 2020 at 23:11 #1483263Haydock is left-handed, Ruby.
Won’t happen.Doesn’t need “Winter Ground” either. Numerous top class runs on good-soft and the way he destroyed them as a Novice at Kempton in the Pendil suggests Good going shouldn’t be a problem.
imo Connections need to forget 3m+ races unless ground conditions really do favour speed (good or on the firm side of good).
A horse as quick as Cyrname is over fences should be fully effective back at 2m. Tingle Creek surely a far better option than King George?
Value Is EverythingFebruary 19, 2020 at 11:32 #1483275You’re right about him being better suited by going right-handed.
But, frankly I believe that 2m4f would be his optimum trip. Though, looking back at this years’ Tingle Creek, you’ll find a lot twoandahalf milers filling out the first five places.
Defi, WP, Janika, Politologue.
Why not targeting him at the Tingle Creek?February 23, 2020 at 13:16 #1483688Apparently he is “bucking and squealing” and ready to run again this season. Though far from certain to return, at least he seems to be 100% fit.
