Perhaps he should apply for the England job now he is available being a young ambitious English coach!!

McClaren surely must have his own market – "when" he leaves not "if " after last night….
And the winner is…….Sammy Lee (left by mutual consent today) isn’t that football talk for him being terrible so they sacked him!!
Adrain Maguire a 100% trier he could never be accused off pulling a horse.
How he got Cool Ground to win at Cheltenham and his King George win (forget the horse now) I’m sure there were many more.
The Royals are 3/1 to go down with Ladbrookes, had to do a mystery shopper visit on them and ask what odds on relegation from premiership – they didn’t do overly well as the woman couldn’t find it on their system?
Surely when all the fuss dies down the bare facts will see Jol on his way, they are bottom three and I will be surprised if he lasts the weekend after a trip to Anfield. Are any firms running a book on this as I don’t have gambling access here? Jol must be big odds on now…
Ceefax (yes thats the same ceefax that has abandoned racing) has reported the sale has gone through?
Who’s next then Jol or Lee after last weeks draw still all to play for? Thoughts?
This is the "official" reponse I have just received
Thank you for your e-mail.
I note your concerns regarding news that the Horse racing section of Ceefax is to be discontinued. The Head of Sport Interactive has released the
following:"The BBC has decided to scale back its coverage of horse racing on Ceefax from 2008. However we will continue to offer a results service and will provide extensive coverage of the Cheltenham Festival, Royal Ascot, Grand National and Derby meetings – plus reports on all the big races throughout the racing calendar. The decision also reflects changing audience behaviour, with more and more people using the internet and other digital devices to get their racing news, rather than relying on Ceefax as their only source of information."
Please be assured that we have registered your comments on our audience log. This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily for all programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and also their senior management. It ensures that your points, and all other comments we receive, are circulated and considered across the BBC.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Regards
Damian Whyte
BBC InformationI’ve just put in an offical complaint on line with the Dweeb and would encourage any other ceefax lovers to do the same, not that they will listen but this is a democratic society after all!!
can we petition to beeb to "save racing" I wonder?
In a word "horrified" somes up this statement from the BBC.
I to am a Virgin subscriber where nothing works and no red button racing. Why should someone pay for a service that is essentially free and supplied by William Hill to promote itself anyway? There are a lot of people who don’t have the internet or where work has banned internet gambling (my job including) so ceefax was always a free and easy alternative.
I love analogue Ceefax and almost addicted to the sports pages the new text on bbc-i and sky is just not as good I’m afraid.
I can’t believe the Beeb would rather show womens football, gymnastics and drug based athletics over the sport of kings.
Am I just an old dragon or am I right to stand my ground on ceefax something that I grew up with why should it play second fiddle to the internet?
Congratulations Aranalde, I’m sure we predicted a doble promotion at the start of the year between the Saddlers and the Robins.
Unfortunately the pride of the west won’t be there next year to give West Midlands police some overtime. Instead we will be on page 317 of ceefax results service or in other words the Championship (where all goals are shown on ITV!!). But I’m sure you will be able to compete with the likes of Forest and Leeds as everyone else already can at that level.
<br>Gary Johnson’s red and white army!!
If you hate Nottingham Forest and Colin "mind games" Calderwood this seasons play offs are the best yet. If Shrewsbury and Blackpool can beat our not so fierce rivals we will be in dreamland not just the Championship next year!!!!!
Hayden Frost – good young jockey on last years evidence
I agree a good solid ride from Daryl Jacob surely a promising future beckons for him.. I follow one of the smaller trainers and he has had 4 rides this season for him and got 3 places (including a winner) from two average sorts. I will certainly be following Daryl’s fortunes over the remainder of the season
