I still think the short go is well handicapped and now I’ve just heard De Bromhead say he’s heading to this I’ll take some 20’s.

I don’t buy these silly narratives that because the British horses usually win this race an Irish horse can’t!

Some of you must be a hoot at parties.

You don’t have to pay £650 to fly anywhere that sells beers for £7. You can keep the money in your pocket and sit at home listening to the wireless because you’re too tight to buy a tv licence and drink as much tap water as you like. I reckon I know who’s having a more enjoyable time of things though!

Keep an eye out for the postman passing once a day, I’ll keep an eye on all the crumpet passing by every minute! B-)

Funnily enough I was looking around the internet just last night trying to plan a ten day road trip round France for and part of the plan I came up with included a day at Deauville on Sunday the 2nd of August for Maurice de gheest day.

There’s a town called Honfleur that sounds like it could be a good spot to stay for the night. A harbour town with cobbled streets and good food and wine!

What do you think your chances of getting a run out of grozni are VTC? About the same as mine as Rexem getting in? Does anyone know what mark got you into this the last few years?

Lovely read. And it was indeed lovely to see.

Of all the divisions, grades, levels and make ups of races. None get my respect and juices flowing more so than a staying chaser. And particularly those like Anglers Crag who go from the front heart on their sleeve!

I would bloody love it. It would be the greatest moment I’ve ever seen in horse racing! Watching him on the flat the other night do what he did made the hairs on my arms stand up.

I think I would wet myself if he came roaring up the hill 15 lengths up in the champion hurdle!

Flights and hotel this time for £650! My mum and dad and sister are coming this time. We booked it a couple of months ago before we found out the Mrs is pregnant again so she’s drawn a bit of a short straw in terms of being able to have a few drinks.

Weather looking favourable again. I know it’s dried up here somewhat in the last week or so but it’s never going to be 23/24 degrees in Cheltenham in March and it’s never going to be £2 for a bottle of beer.

Sit back, cheer my horses on, have a bite to eat. Back to the hotel a 5 minute stroll away and find somewhere nice to eat at night. The whole experience is far more enjoyable! Anyone else booked up for this year? Nathan? Mickeyjp?

That’s more like it Mike. I was beginning to think someone had hacked your account when you put something up above 4/1! Glad to know you’re safe and well mate :good:

What happens to the weights in the race if Vango is pulled now? Everyone still runs off their declared weight and out the handicap or are they adjusted to reflect Vango didn’t run?

Confidence is a wonderful thing HDLG. But you were being very disparaging about the horse in general. Saying he was completely gone at the game and his head was fried.

I for one hope he turns up in the champion hurdle and rams your words down your throat! If he wins that would you be gracious enough to congratulate him?

What you got to say about that HDLG? If I was you I’d maybe keep a low profile on the forum for a few hours :yahoo:

What does everyone consider to be a success for the horse tonight?

Personally I feel if he finishes within 6l of the winner and clearly still got something to work with (finishes well, sticks his head down etc) then that would be enough to convince Nicky and Michael to head to Cheltenham.

Would love nothing more than to see him win cosily by 5 lengths. But that’s unlikely.

Mr Vango scared a nearly half the early entries off including Breeze of wind (unsurprisingly really given how far out the weights he was going to be) but also the likes of Jubilee express and aworkinprogress.

They seem to have really come for this Anglers Crag. I usually love the angle of previously won the race in preceding years hence backing knockanore but Anglers Crag has run like a camel for 2 years now bar his win LTO in a weak race at Carlisle.

I’m happy with my knockanore bet @10’s.

Nice work those who nabbed 25’s for Dom of Mary.

Should also be pointed out, 6/1 the field after decs in a ten runner race is glorious!

Watched some videos back earlier. Including Knockanores win in the race last year. He absolutely scooted in and could have been named the winner very early on. 10’s will do for me. He’s another to run out the handicap but I’m really not that arsed about things like that in these kind of races.

Katate Dori seems much better going right handed so I’ll be on him and Kdeuax saint fry both to win as he seems to be ready for further.

    Breeze of wind.

He’s gonna run out the handicap because Mr Vango is going to get his ideal conditions but I think Breeze of wind is progressive, will like the ground himself and very much a stayer going places.

Bloody love these type of races.

I backed Rexem at Musselburgh a couple of weeks ago and just about put my foot through the telly at the lack of effort from Dylan Kidd (thought he might have been masquerading as Kitts)

    Classic John Mconnel stuff.

And if he gets into the Kim muir I’ll be on big style. But the 66’s with Coral will do for an aperitif just now.
