I picked the wrong Bowen horse when Mac Tottie won the Sefton and I’m convinced he’s got a big race in him. He didn’t jump great that day though so perhaps the fences don’t suit.

Senior citizen will run a big race as well. He does enjoy the fences and I’ll put the pretty tame effort last time out down to the soft ground.

We’re just going to go round in ever decreasing circles here lads. (I hope I haven’t upset any of you by assuming your genders ;-)

Bryony frost was giving plenty of verbalsback herself during all this. There were secretive phone calls to Dunne promising violence she didn’t deny being aware of. She’s not the butter wouldn’t melt type character some are attempting to portray her as. And Robbie Dunne has used some language that isn’t appropriate in this day and age. All be it under circumstances which could be argued cause someone to act in a heated manner.

Thanks for the exchange of views. Let’s draw a line under this one. Cucks

I’m not the one who’s made judgment on the weighing room culture. I haven’t said it’s a bastion of morality and held it up as a beacon for how workplaces operate.

You’ve called it vile and jurrasic. What makes you say that? Because a man called a woman a few words/names you find offensive? He’s took exception to what he feels is her causing the death of the horse he was riding through poor/aggressive jockeyship. He probably felt at risk of serious injury himself via that.

Is it inconceivable to conclude he felt aggrieved at her for good reason? He might have tried to remonstrate with her previously in a lesser tone and felt she wasn’t taking notice of what he said.

Is she supposed to be able to ride in a dangerous manner with no recourse whatsoever from others?

    No marlingford I don’t.

Also, this site badly needs a quote feature. Talking about things that are Jurassic! A forum with the inability to quote other posters is really archaic!

What evidence do you have of it being a vile, private and Jurassic club? I mean actual evidence not just what you read from Lydia hyslop or other sections of the media who are suffering from the common societal pressures of forever portraying men as the perpetrator of wrongdoing!?

What reason did the other female jockeys have for dismissing frosts claims of inappropriate behaviour? She’s the outlier among all this. Usually when something like this is brought up against an alleged offender several others come out and say they too suffered the same form of behaviour from the accused.

This time?? Nothing. It is almost unanimous in favour of support for Dunne and dismissive of frost. I’d favour those working in the industry and who see both individuals on a daily basis over someone’s opinion piece written in paper who has no evidence or supporting statements to back up what she’s saying.

Not in the slightest. What’s your take on it?

Ignore what you’re reading in the media, look at the facts, read between the lines.

The industry as a whole (other jocks, trainers not using her now, even the PJA for god sake) have turned on her.

What reason would they have for doing g that other than they feel she’s wrong? It’s pretty unanimous across all sections of the industry to be rejecting her.

What are you lot on about? You’re looking at this case from a perspective of Frost being the victim.

She’s the one accused of riding in a dangerous and aggressive manner. Claims backed up by Tom Scu at the original hearing. Robbie Dunne remonstrated with her about it and Frost countered with her own barrage of insults. She’s not felt threatened, bullied or intimated enough to not fire back.

Then she’s made a series of accusations against Dunne, nobody else backed her up to substantiate anything she said.

She’s played the victim card and received the benefit of the fact if you’re a white male in this day and age you’re part of some kind of tyrannical patriarchy who is oppressive and toxic to any other demographic in society.

The more I look at this the more I’m attracted to longhouse poet. The classic not running over fences to protect the mark and has been running in and winning some high class races.

Stamina won’t be an issue although untested but does seem to only run when it gets really testing. That could well play out though looking at the forecast. Possibly one to hold off on until we know the likely ground 24/48 hours prior to the race.

Chris dream not running is a bit of a blow. He was guaranteed a place minimum imo. Every cloud though I guess and his absence means Blacklion will get in and I’ll bet him on the day. Another one who’s a shoe in for a place imo.

I was really disappointed that the wolf was taken out of the ultima a couple of weeks ago but on reflection it may of been a stroke of genius from Olly Murphy. In both races this season all he’s appeared to do is stay on, the less emphasis on jumping at speed can only be a good thing so I’ve had a tickle on him at 16’s.

I go to a place called the shutters which is about 10 minutes drive from the course.

Does a monster of a breakfast for a tenner but I would imagine you’d have to book because it’s mad popular. It’s in a village a couple of miles from track. Gutherington or something like that it’s called.

2 bacon, 2 sausage (decent sausages as well not the 37% meat **** you get on bad fry ups) black pudding, mushrooms, beans, a muffin, 2 eggs and tomato. Does me until well after the last race. Thank Christ because the crap on offer at the track is ghastly!

I’m quite strong on alaphilipe here. Probably foolishly given the British record in it.

Gloating at a winner when you were ten lengths back at the last fence is really cretinous behaviour.

You can take no lasting joy from that. You’re view of the race was shown up for what it was and you got very fortunate at the end Mike.

Kiltealy Briggs for me now that the owners have taken the wolf out.

Has some very nice form in behind the likes of ahoy senor this season. Lovely weight and meets a lot of the trends needed for this.

Because ground with the word soft in some part of the description would be deemed to be more beneficial/safer/preferable to most horses running at that time of year?

Was that even a serious question?

Strange decision to start watering now when the rain was forecast and it’s currently bouncing down in the area.
