Thoughts on Bob Olinger today?

Thought he didnt look a natural at jumping a fence, lost control of his back end a few times

Obviously he’s very very good but will need to improve that jumping with experience

I have him at 5-1 for this. Assuming he comes here. Happy enough. Was landing on all 4s once or twice probably coz it was a steady pace.

I have got 5-1 as well but to be honest I was not that impressed. He is 2-1 now, which is crazy.

I know you have to make allowances for it being his first race over fences but he made errors at 2 of the 3 fences in the home straight.

I would like to see him jump better next time.

I notice Gaillard Du Mesnil has shortened up for this but i think he might be an RSA / Festival Novice type

Reading between the stable tour lines MarkTT, I got the impression Mullins would split up GDC and GDM with GDC being the 3 miler.

I’m not convinced of that Punchestown race for 3 mile form and GDC has proven a liking for the New Course, which is the Marsh

Too early in his career to assess his preferences for Old Course v New Course after one run there tbf.

I’ve taken the 16/1 for Haut En Couleurs, though I do think that Bob Olinger is very hard to oppose in this.

There,s a few shorties I can’t see being beaten but I do want to take Bob Olinger on , he doesn’t look a natural jumper at all
