By no means an arrant rouge, but certainly a rouge !!
Another thank you for the link Ken.
The Scottish champion hurdle was incorrectly listed as Class 2 by the Racing Post, officially a Class 1 Grade 2.
A must and a must not, must take on the odds on jollies in Group 1’s and must not have a serious punt on the flat after the St Leger.
Oh, SBS seems to have put him on one today

Thank you. Smaller, though look as though they don’t get flattened like the traditional hurdle.
Would just like to wish young Charlie Appleby all the best for the future, and hoping he can keep the "Potions Cupboard’ under lock and key.
I think it inconceivable that the infidels at BHA could even consider that the, some say autocratic and dictatorial Sheik, might have anything whatsoever to do with the training of his horses.
Yes I’d like to see Wiltshire brought in, a breath of fresh air in the ring. Quite miss Carson at times also.
A big ‘well done’ to Clare and the team for some fine coverage of the royal meeting. For me, coverage not too dissimilar to that of the beebs of former years. Thank you.
‘Thorough Jade’, you have admire that one. Would you think it might have been Bull who came up with the two descriptions, that and ‘arrant rogue’ ?
I think I recall, many many years ago, Timeform referring to one particular horse as ‘an arrant rogue’

I’ve really enjoyed the C4 coverage. The butting into conversaions by the presenters seems to have been dropped and a lot more time showing runners in the parade ring devoted. I’m becoming a fan, keep it up C4
May 23, 2013 at 11:42 in reply to: Harker and Da Silva in trouble – how about Lee and Given ? #440466Agree, if he was trying his hardest left himself an insurmountable task especially as a well punted early priced 4/1 shot.
I can send you a spreadsheet with all the UK Flat & Jumps standard times if needed. newsomejk(at)gmx.com
The quality of horse Ferdy had in his yard was worsening every season. No doubt down to this long running recession we’re in and owners cutting back on a few non essentials. I know Ferdy and his two lads, Paul and Barry, quite well and wish them every success in France with the bloodstock venture.
As a living wage nowadays it’s probable you’ll need £20-30K a year to live, so let’s say £25K a year is needed. With an ROI of 10% you’re needing to turnover £250,000 a year, that’s 24 bets a week at £200. An awful lot of ‘value’ bets to find every week to live and no doubt ‘loose’ bets are going to be creeping in. There’s 10% on 5 bets a month needed to cover the cost of subscribed must haves like Timeform and RP. Perhaps worth rethinking your planned stakes and upping them on more selective wagers.
Wishing you every success Mike. Best, Tim- AuthorPosts
