January 11, 2023 at 10:48 in reply to: The day racegoers booed a winner all the way up the run in…. #1630475Interesting story about Captain Price here (starts at 11min 34 seconds)
Seemed such a nice man !!
See there’s been more support for him today. Thanks Ian
Well outside of the handicap SB, still in with a chance ?
I found the ITV coverage of it deplorable, aimed at the ‘chavs’ or whatever they’re called theses days.
Winner looked to have quite a high knee action for the firm ground.
‘Have a peek at the days of curley Spenser thread Tim.’
Found the thread Nathan, Sporting Sam nailed it !!
I’ve layed Hollaway Boy @ 2.76 – Have doubts whether he’ll show his Ascot form a round course

As to why, it coundn’t have been the ground or distance so would put it down to the 21 days between races that made the difference. Timeform noted that ‘she didn’t entirely impress beforehand’

I saw that – forgot to check the Betfair Exchange SP but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was much higher
654.89 – and lowest in running 650
Probably sends live information to some of the betting exchange players as to well being, paddock demeanor and how they’ve gone to post. I know the chap who’s doing it on the northern circuit for several exchange players.
‘Bet365 do the best opening offer – £100 in free bets once you’ve bet £100 it was when I joined and they do loads of offers’
Down recently to £50 opening offer :(
“I was told Bet365 are better than most and, so long as you don’t blatantly take the proverbial (only bet on niche markets when they make mistakes), you can make net profit of about £8,000 before restriction.”
New Bet365 accounts these days lay you to lose £500 on the earlies markets and usually last about 4 bets until being restricted. If you’re beating the SP’s, win or lose, you’ll be finished with them.
