Envoi Allen EW for me. 16/1 is an insulting price for a horse with his record, 11 years young or not.
I’ve done the top 3 in a reverse tricast, Sixandahalf, Galileo Dame and Karoline Banbou.
Well done green and GM, a very nice winner. Well done also to those with places at decent prices.
Colonel Mustard ran a fine race in 5th, just not able to see his race out over the new distance. A very likeable horse who deserves to get his head in front soon.
Well done winners. Jazzy Matty is fast becoming my new Langer Dan. That’s twice he’s cost me a winner at the Festival!
Cheers, a much needed winner for me. Funny how it can seem to be going badly but one good winner can turn things around completely.
He’s far from a poor jumper but that fall might just let the horse know he can’t be taking so many risks taking off outside the wings. He should go to Ireland if no ill-effects from the fall and I would expect him to win comprehensively. He’s still by far the best around, albeit not the ‘champ’.
I’ve had a word with myself about this but I just can’t get away from Mister Coffey. 15/2 win only. Today is finally his day…
I’ve completely changed my position on this race. I’ve cashed out my Better Days Ahead bet in favour of Ballyburn, who I can’t quite believe isn’t odds on, in a double with Final Demand.
Enjoy yourself VtC. Hopefully you won’t feel as ropey tomorrow as I do today

Hoping for better today.
Final Demand (Kappa Jy Pyke)
Ballyburn (Better Days Ahead)
Colonel Mustard NAP (Be Aware)
Busselton & Mister Coffey (Latenightpass)
Energumene (Captain Guinness)
Unexpected Party NB (General Medrano)
Bambino Fever (El Cairos)Apologies in advance, Oscar!
Kool One looks overpriced. He has form with good juveniles and the lively ground should see him improve further. Trainer and jockey are unknown factors but I’ve backed him at 40s EW.
Bambino Fever has impressed me most and I’m happy with the Jody Townend booking. I haven’t bet her yet as I think she might be available at bigger than the current 6s before the off
Not for the first time I’m guilty of getting too excited and firing early…
Kopek Des Bordes (William Munny)
Majborough (Jango Baie)
Broadway Boy and Henry’s Friend (Straw Fan Jack)
Dysart Enos NAP (Lossiemouth)
Constitution Hill (Burdett Road)
Kool One NB (Beyond Your Dreams)
Hasthing (Herakles Westwood)I’m very pleased to see Lorna Fowler has booked the up and coming Tiernan Power Roache to ride Colonel Mustard. His 5lbs claim is basically a cheat code. This is now my biggest bet of the festival by some distance.
I’m keeping faith with Dysart Enos. Disappointing over hurdles so far but she’s up in trip for this and spring ground is what she needs. Her Greatwood run is looking better now than it perhaps did at the time. 33/1 EW.
Quite sweet on Colonel Mustard for this. I decided against backing him antepost because I expected him to rock up in the County Hurdle. He’s not been declared for that. 25/1 EW.
