Charisma Cat NAP (Betty’s Daisy)Given how impressively Inothewayurthinkin won the Gold Cup, I’d make him hot favourite to repeat it next year. As big as the Grand National is, I’d rather have a dual Gold Cup winner than a Gold Cup and Grand National winner, personally. I doubt he’ll run.
Half the forum seem to be on Minella Cocooner from way out and I’ve now joined the club. I don’t quite understand the market weakness given he has quite obviously been trained for this. 40s EW 6 places with SkyBet.
My finest betting achievement was punting the reverse tricast in this last. I’m back for more this year and have sided with Kopeck De Mee, Taponthego and Karafon. I’m surprised there’s no money for Karafon given he’s had a Galopin Des Champs-esque campaign.
I just hope Galopin Des Champs writes himself into the history books as one of the true greats. At the risk of putting the mockers on him, it doesn’t look a vintage field in opposition.
I respect East India Dock, who is an incredible jumper, and Hello Neighbour, but Lulamba’s two wins have struck me as a top class horse who will improve significantly for a truly run race. Lulamba for me.
I’ve disgraced myself so far. Never had so few winners at Cheltenham and I’ve had poor years!

Sine Nomine (Midnight Our Fred)Envoi Allen EW for me. 16/1 is an insulting price for a horse with his record, 11 years young or not.
I’ve done the top 3 in a reverse tricast, Sixandahalf, Galileo Dame and Karoline Banbou.
Well done green and GM, a very nice winner. Well done also to those with places at decent prices.
Colonel Mustard ran a fine race in 5th, just not able to see his race out over the new distance. A very likeable horse who deserves to get his head in front soon.
Well done winners. Jazzy Matty is fast becoming my new Langer Dan. That’s twice he’s cost me a winner at the Festival!
Cheers, a much needed winner for me. Funny how it can seem to be going badly but one good winner can turn things around completely.
He’s far from a poor jumper but that fall might just let the horse know he can’t be taking so many risks taking off outside the wings. He should go to Ireland if no ill-effects from the fall and I would expect him to win comprehensively. He’s still by far the best around, albeit not the ‘champ’.
I’ve had a word with myself about this but I just can’t get away from Mister Coffey. 15/2 win only. Today is finally his day…
I’ve completely changed my position on this race. I’ve cashed out my Better Days Ahead bet in favour of Ballyburn, who I can’t quite believe isn’t odds on, in a double with Final Demand.
