I can’t decide if that is a delibrate Thommo joke Strawbear or a slip of the keyboard!

I share your Just So pain.
I remember starting out as a board man.
The punters always tried to distract you as Extel gave over a new show of betting. If the price of a horse went out they would point out to the manager how useless you were missing the new show, but if the horse shortened then they could have the old show as that was what was still up on the board!
Oh how I miss the good old days!!
High Street boasts the highest racecourse in the UK. In times gone by there used to be a fair on the vast plateau at the top and people used to race horses against each other (all at 800+ meters)!
I also heard that only one of the Golden Eagles now survives and that hasn’t been seen for some while

Hi Drone
Struggled around the Fairfield Horseshoe myself last Friday. Can’t believe I’ve been home a week already! Have you every been onto Bowfell? If not then well worth the effort.
Yep Cormack, I spend far too much holiday in either Scotland (the further north west the better) or the Lakes. In fact only just back from 10 days in the Lakes – unbelievably warm weather (sitting on top of High Street last week in 80+ sunshine!)
AP – If you have Virgin Media you can watch it again through their CatchUp TV service. I think the programme is titled "The Insider".
3lb for winning after June 30th.
5lb for winning two races.Since when have you been qualified to comment on fashion HJ?
Just from the pub in Pulborough, so not really very impressive!
No sign of any watering last weekend and apart from half an hour of rain this morning it has been warm and sunny all week.
You can write what I know about pt-to-points and general track conditions on the back of a postage stamp and still have plenty of room to spare. However, I was having a Sunday afternoon stroll last week and stumbled on what I soon realised was Parham point-to-point course. The ground seemed as hard as the road and there was more grass on the road, especially on the top bend that seems to lead onto the airfield!
Can’t imagine there will be many runners.
aaftershock
Group A – 8 Winners
Group B – 5 Winners
Group C – 7 Winners
Group D – 5 Winners
That’s 25 winners!
That’s because lollys mate lives in an undesirable part of the country, apparently!
I believe he is/was a farrier around the yards in Findon.
Unless it was another M Hogan who used to change the shoes on my sister’s horse!
Phone them up and explain.
They should then unregister the stolen card for you and then let you know about the new one.
Denman and Gungadu have the same owners and I think they have said that Gungadu will only run if Denman misses the race. I believe Gungadu is being aimed at the 4m National Hunt Chase.
Something to do with the red and blue amounts being in groups of four or five in the unopened boxes. For example, working from left to right along the contestents, she seemed to think it was very unlikely for the amounts to be red, blue, red, blue etc.
She had done this with cards about 60 times and as far as she was concerned had worked out an unbeatable system.
Total muppet.
