    Does anyone with access to a programme book have details of the penalty Knot In Wood picks up for winning tonight? 3 lb penalty makes him an attractive proposition at 16’s. Any more than that and wouldn’t be so sure.

    3lb for winning after June 30th.
    5lb for winning two races.

    Not sure TDK. I’ve always thought of him being pretty versatile in that regard. He’s got a couple of wins on fast ground in 05/06 that were career best efforts at the time whilst you could say the same about his effort being Rising Shadow at York on soft on his final start last year.

    They hadn’t had rain for months before their May meeting and there was still give in the ground, wouldn’t worry about the ground now Seamus is allowed to overwater unless you need firm.
