The reason that Mr Rees will be notified of the dates of his ban by the BHA is due to the fact that he is an amateur. The idea being that he is banned on days where it will have some effect on him, not just days where there was no likelyhood of him riding.
I believe he was suspended for 10 days for riding an ill-judged race.
Both HappyJack and myself worked for Superform for many years before moving on to pastures new!
It is indeed a sad loss, especially as I still have a password to the site
I suppose I will have to get used to the Racing Post!I guess at just £12 a month it is hard to compete with something that is free and with the paper subscriptions falling I suppose it was inevitable in the end. It also doesn’t help that Kevin Gilroy, who started Superform back in the 70’s, has finally decided that retirement is a sensible option

The above link has the full World Cup card from the Emirates Racing Authority website.
Or maybe not!
Rumour has it that they will not be ready for April 4th.
April 20th is now the more likely start date!
Tudor got 5 days, Pieux got 3 days & J J Codd (in the first race) got 7 days.
Sorry, the first part should have read placed horses that have run fewer than three times

Swindon Town Flyer has a mark of 68 and is/was the only horse entered with a h’cap mark.
There is a long elimination procedure, but basically (for a maiden) placed horses get preference, followed by horses that haven’t run, followed by horses with less than three runs.No he is not entered.
Just to add some balance to today’s Lingfield race, his saddle did slip.
Michael Wigham

I believe A Thornton got 4 days for "excessive frequency & no time to respond."
You lucky bast**d Steve.
I have a much longer commute. I have to go downstairs via the kitchen for a cup of coffee before I can face turning the PC on!
Davidjohnson is correct, the BHA jumps handicappers assess all races run in Ireland and take no notice of the Irish ratings.
The way the BHA and Irish handicappers go about assessing races is totally different and the two systems are incompatible.
Work seems to stop whenever it rains and on that basis they won’t even restart building until next spring.
I would want a large price before backing Great Leighs to stage a meeting in 2008!!
Jeremy is correct. Mojo and Lesmacadam both had ratings of one in their time!
There are currently three horses with offical ratings of 5.
The previously mentioned Taili, Hillside Smoki (trained by Alan Berry) and African Blues (last ran Dec ’06 so may not be in training).
Little Darlin who raced at Leicester on Tuesday has yet to beat a horse in five races and has been refused an official rating – not sure if that makes her the worst!
