Does anyone know anything about this trainer, how long he has been training, big successes etc. ?
I know he trains Beare Nessessities, Kings Signal among others. I’d be grateful for any information.

January 23, 2007 at 09:58 #36497I had a quick browse and it doesn’t seem at first glance like hes a trainer with a lot of horses in the yard, i’m wondering if hes a relatively new trainer.
January 23, 2007 at 10:00 #36498There are two, one in Sussex and one in County Tipperary.

January 23, 2007 at 10:06 #36499Yes, its the M.J. Hogan in Sussex i’m interested in, I had a look and the horses he has are all owned by Barbara Hogan, possibly his Wife? No big successes in amongst the results. Thanks for your input Colin.;)

January 23, 2007 at 13:41 #36501I believe he is/was a farrier around the yards in Findon.
Unless it was another M Hogan who used to change the shoes on my sister’s horse!
January 23, 2007 at 15:31 #36502Martin Hogan is indeed a farrier ~ he used to own a few horses in his wife’s name but decided that it was too expensive paying training fees so took out a permit to train them himself. He’s done remarkably well with the horses he’s had in my opinion.
January 23, 2007 at 16:20 #36503Hello,
Yep, should have had a grand winner with Kings Signal a few weeks back, but given a diabolical ride over 2m by Aspell
Ironically, AP, Brennan, Ruby were available to ride in the race, probably Mr Hogan is just not that well known yet to approach them :)
