Nice performance from Buveur D’air there. Disappointed with Summerville Boy but hopefully improve for the run(will need too). After watching Apples Jade yesterday I’d like to see her take on BD at Cheltenham. She is getting better for me and more professional. I’d love them to go to the Champion Hurdle route and leave Samcro to tackle fences.
Well done Steeplechasing, Raymo, Autumnal and anyone else who was on the winner. I’m with potato! More to come from EE but I think over further! He’s like Don Poli doesn’t get faster or go slower! Hope he ends up in the Welsh National but imagine he’ll have a decent weight.
Sorry anyone who backed Kemboy, Cancelled ferry and he’s out!!!!!
Devastating for the Owners, stable and backers.
Looking forward to seeing Summerville Boy here. No bet in the race as think Buveur D’air should beat them as the proven class horse but like last weekend nice to see top horses race against each other. Love NH!

Villain – Nicky Henderson Betting blog, Goldilocks with the ground, Cheltenham or nothing attitude.
Owner – Munir/Souede
Commentator – Simon HoltBit late to the party but Elegant Escape for me. Reminds me of Native River and I wouldn’t put it past the horse going on to run very well in the Welsh National after this! Looks like the type who will stay all day. I’ve got in a double with at Might Bite for the KG placed in September but did top up with a small token bet last weekend at 6/1.
I’m now very tempted to have a play at American at 16/1 mainly due to forecast rain. Cant get away from the Uttoxeter race in which he slammed Rock the Kasbah by 8L giving away 6lb’s. Only worry is his run in the race last year was awful although seem to recall the trainer did blame himself for running the horse in the race as he didn’t believe he was quite ready for it.
Well played backers of Paisley Park. The ground the horse made up was quite impressive. Seemed to jump a bit ‘big’ but was deserved success and Coleman deserves some praise too!
Well done to everyone who backed BDM!
Certainly is a ‘Horses for Courses’ case with him for me. Despite potentially improving for this wind op I think he will yet again disappoint away from his beloved Haydock.
Crowd went wild when he went on and despite the price appeared to be well backed judging by the noise. Great race and great day at haydock!
Hi All
I go to Haydock every year for this meeting(don’t live far away) and I’m delighted with the field despite it being only 5 horses. I’ll probably back BDM at 7’s for the reasons already given by Steeplechasing. His course record is impressive and taking into account the ground isn’t as it was for his previous wins here I still think 7/1 is worth a punt. I just wonder if him and NR will go at it up front though and leave it for Might Bite to sweep past after the last!
But at the prices I’ll side with BDM
Fascinating race though and really looking forward to it. Good luck all!
