Id probably just put it down to the fact the horses come out onto track from under the stands and about half a furlong out is prob the first time these horses see the entrance and start hanging towards that point, much like they do on alot of tracks.

Will anyone look at the tariffs ?

As an owner who plans his own runners, im very aware of the prize money situiation. But if i felt a race was best for my horse for a multitude of reasons the tarrifs set by the horsemans wont affect where i run.

As has been pointed out with that beginners chase today, the system is flawed. Also i might as well run for less money at Wetherby and cost myself 50 quid transort than run for above the tariff 100miles away which ends up working out worse for me.

    Heres an idea.

Any chance of the lower prize money races only been for horses trained withina certain radius of the track to avoind the transports costs for owners. Owners must now pay more in transport bills than entry fees through the year which is money wasted through the system.

If not ban ‘away’ runners, offer a bonus for home winners ?

First thing i would do is work closely with the Irish racing industry so we dont suffer from an irregular fixture list.

Moindays and Tuesdays can sometimes see only 2 UK meetings and no irish. The come Thursday we get 3 UK afternoon meetings, 1 Irish meeting, Maydan and then a twilight meeting.

So Mondays give punters 2 meetins and more time to get bored and play the FOBT but yet at times on a thursday we have 6 meetins all nearly coliding with each.

3 meetings at 10 min slots i preumse are the best levy generators so cant we spread this action around a little better.

I know i cant keep up if theres more than 3 meetings on any given day so therefore wont punters at home be the same.

maybe 4.8 was the wrong price and someone fancied laying a bet thinking its a 5/1 chance and then a few people think its drifting so lay it hoping its injured.

Everyone knows the games dirty so auto assume there are sinister forces when half the time its nothing

My mate might have backed it at 11/2 but i was at donny sale all morning.

I backed it but only at 10/3 ish once id seen we were paddock pick. I thought trying to judge the paddock would be the best edge to the market.

Brians isnt really a gambling even though some of in the yard are pro gamblers. The market really takes a chance with our horses and prob people are trying to 2nd guess if im going for a touch.

The amount of bad favourites we have is unbeleiveable

I really hope both horses drift from 6/4 out to 25/1 and get funny rides next time out.

I wonder them if the public is so forgiving and pin everything down to a bad back and the stable being out of the form.

yes sorry your right, there are 13 sets of contact details.

Th mind boggles if they are all full time as surely even with our bloated fixture list there isnt enugh racing for 13 people to be putting in 40 hours a week.

the handicappers probabaly are bad judges hence we get various pieces of poor handicapping.
Theres about 8 handicappers in total so they are definetley not over worked and hence they have no excuses for ever making a rick imo

Everyone gets given another chance and most arent caught to start with, so i was only been mischievous with the welcome back. But if he pays his forfeit then im presuming they’l let him start riding again over here and the welcome back is what the press will give him, albeit without a fanfare.

if you can get acess to the race conditions you can work out the claiming price.

If you cant find the conditions, then they should be on internet where your trainer enters horses.

Tell me which horse it is u want to know and i’ll find it

Drop me an e-mail through my website and i’ll sort you something out for basically nothing. If you only want the odd badge im sure a token donation to a horse charity will suffice as payment.

I usually have plenty of runners in the Midlands and usually there are spare badges so there’ll be plenty of days out if required.

Stable visit is a bit further away in Malton but those are accomadated easily enough either through our quartly open days or we do visits on other days usually sundays whenever owners need it.

Like i say drop me a line through the koo’s racing club website and i’ll be happy to accomodate what you need.

Heartbreaking stuff for connections as he looked a million dollars today. Was about to win by 20l and shoot up to potential gold cup rankings when this golden generation leave us.

What a very very sad day and its not often i say that.
