Dont be Shy mate! A few more words would be more than welcome!

The 5 furlong conditions race is an interesting little affair. On the face of it Tax Free is on the decline although he is quite capable of being ready first time out the 7lb penalty does not encourage. Triple Aspect comes out best at the weights but this is not Sandown in June or July, however the stable is in excellent form and has shown he acts on the likely going. Dinkum Diamond ought to be capable of taking this and as a 4yo is still open to improvement, again the penalty does not make him attractive at the price. I get the feeling this is a pipe opener to have him ready for the Palace House, a race his trainer likes to win. Another open to improvement is Jonny Mudball, he has only had 12 runs and presumably was wrong after finishing last in France early last year.
The sort of race that could see a genuine pattern race performer emerge from it later in the season. Definitely not a race to bet on unless you were paddock-side and could see how tuned up the protagonists look. On the face of it, this is the easiest opportunity Triple Aspect has had since his 2yo days, whether he retains his ability after a long lay-off and change of stables is another matter.Watch with mother!
Fine bit of analysis there Eclipse,if I wasn’t blinkered towards
Tax Free
,I’d defineately give ‘Johnny Mudball’ my vote.Strange that Trotter goes to Catterick to ride a bunch of ‘averages’ though when he’s ridden the big son of Tagula 47 times out of his 52 runs,Kierans never sat on him before!
GDC,I’d be interested in thisChilly Filly
at 8/1 up at Catterick today with ‘The Assassin’ on board!
At Nottingham my banker has to be King HenrysSolar Sky
at 9/2 with Corals,I’ll be keeping a close eye on ‘Robemaker’ later on too!
Solar Sky
£200 win 9/2 Corals Nottm 3,40pm
£800
Well it looks like I am not the only one who has noted the horse has travelled that far!
Backed down to 13/2 and 6s with some 11/2 already showing

Beat the book now fingers crossed to win the race

Well spotted GDC,things like that are always highlighting and he was an e/w bet.The fav looked a decent sort mind!
Interesting observation ‘Wildman’ each to their own and Good Luck for Saturday.Darren,I’ll be cheering on
Tax Free
,win lose or draw I want a picture of the beast,I’ve had umpteen opportunitys in the past and not bothered so with King Kieran up I’m expecting a smile!
Word perfect Ginge,I agree with all that! The thing is this year I have seen a difference in
Calgary Bay
and that
difference is down to his new groom Claire, she only started looking after him at the start of this season and she has transformed him.
He always had talent but he defineately lost his way a couple of years ago,
Claire has rekindled his enthusiasm for the game
and yes 11-6 is a big weight but ‘Calg’ (thats what those of us close to him call him)

Gord’s in love again!
You’re doing what a racing pal of mine does.
Tom goes by "tottyform".
Backs the horse being led around the paddock by the best looking lass!
B*stard!I’ve loved Sir des Champs since his first hurdle run here in Ireland. Everything about him screams champion imo. But this Flemenstar sure does frighten me!
He’s a bit like the equivalent of Frankel to SDC’s Sea The Stars. He pulverizes his opponents but SDC seems to have any amount in hand over his rivals. SDC would still be my main fancy for the Gold Cup, but I think Flemenstar is a big contender. The ground yesterday was quicker than Cheltenham apparently. I can’t remember what trainer was interviewed but that’s what he said anyway, could have been Charlie Swan talking about Make A Track. Of course, the ground had got a little bit softer by the Thursday of the Festival.I dont believe for one minute the ground was genuinely Good at Fairyhouse yesterday tommy, this
Flemenstar
will find things a bit too quick at Cheltenham, could be a Ryanair sort though!
I really fancy
Burton Port
for the ToteBowl on Thursday,he ticks every box and I can see his stamina winning the day particularly if the ground gets pretty soft.
Burton Port
£175 win 5/1 Bet365 Totebowl Aintree.
£1000
I’m on
Burton Port
Tommy at 5/1,I fancied him for the National but I can see the logic going for this instead,he’s won around the course before and handles Soft ground well.I’m hoping
Medermit
runs in the Melling as he is a big danger.’Albertas Run’ hates soft ground so wont be winning.’Riverside Theatre’ will find 3m on soft ground a different ball game to what he’s been used to recently.I’d be interested to know who rides what mind if both henderson horses both run.
Bubba Watson ew 45-1. Another high performer this year.
Bit like yourself Joni! Keep up the good work.

is built to carry it,Dominic knows he rides him to reserve as much energy as he can for the long run in.Calgarys finest performance before Doncaster was his 2010 Gold Cup run,he didn’t disgrace himself. If ‘Dont Push It’ can win with 11-5 then so can ‘Calg’.The rain will hopefully cease by Saturday and if the ground rides Gd/Sft at worse I’ll be happy/nervous! I know my other 3 are big players too as is my Gold Cup Winner! Cant wait!

Clocks tickin to the Big One!Nerves are something TAPK doesn’t suffer from………………..This years different! Good Luck ‘Claire n Calg’! Dominic needs to ride him like he did at Doncaster on that memorable day in January,Terry needs a box of Mansize,I’ll need a couple myself if he can carry 11-6 to victory.Hen and The Radfords will keep a lid on things,Fingers Crossed n that!
And do you think GMOOH will win tomorrow i like OSCARS WELL myself
I certainly think
Get me out of Here
is better than a handicapper darren but I do believe
Oscars Well
is a Grade 1 horse…………in a Grade 2! No bet for me,I’ll cheer my horse on though!
Will do Nath! Ginge the Nationals a one off,I love the race and its a bit of an anti climax if you dont have at least one horse jumping the last with a chance!
