Racing UK have said that it’s the fastest time ever for a 1000 guineas. Just think how fast it could’ve gone had Kevin Manning pushed the boat out. Frightening performance, can’t wait for her to clash with Alexandrova

Theres no doubting that the racing public (myself included) got a bit carried away with DC earlier in the season. But for anyone to say that his last two runs were on the same lines as his previous form is plain stupid. There’s mental issues afoot with this horse. As for the horse just being a "bully", I don’t think so. He won the Cesarewitch from well back against decent class flat horses. There is defo no physical reason for the two flops. I just fear that he may have lost his enthusiasm and may never regain it. He may be the Stan Collymore of horse racing!

Look closely at the form, check out previous meetings between the horses involved, the place your bet.

I followed this religiously one day and put on MORE than I could afford.

The 2005 Coral Eclipse was the race in question – the wife left me.

I love racing for the big events and because despite knowing that corruption is going on, I don’t know where and who is doing it. Therefore it doesn’t matter to me anyway. On the occasion when it is blatantly obvious then it can anger you but sometimes you are privy to a horse that is " trying today" and can end up with a small fortune. I didn’t at anytime say that I thought it was a terrible occurance I just said that it does happen.

as someone who bets on an extremely regular basis I feel that there is little doubt that racing is bent. How many times have you been in a betting shop and the whisper starts about a "wire". This happens regularly and on more than one occasion I have been told to back a horse one week and then informed not to bet it again until it’s odds return to double figures.

A syndicate own a horse that runs for crappy little races on a Tuesday afternoon at Ludlow with £1500 to the winner. Do they try to win that race whilst being a short priced favourite or wait a few weeks until they get the price they want. Then hammer it at 8/1 and make a killing. As we have discussed on this forum before money rules the roost in racing and in my experiences this happens on an all to regular basis.

How else do you explain horses being backed in from 50’s into 4’s and the like.

The low grade races are benter than Dale Winton

I’m pretty sure you’ll get it on attheraces website. If not you can always put a wager on with a reputable bookmaker and they’ll screen it for you, thats what I sometimes need to do.

Theres no one out there more excited by the news of his comeback than me. As I’ve stated before on other topics I hate seeing horses retired early just because they earn millionaires more money. Hopefully he retains his unbelievable speed and can become the horse we all think he can be. At least he has that chance now.

I apologise for my comments earlier about the RACEHORSE George Washington, I had no idea that by making a little quip on a forum could cause you to become vomitis. Does the horse have access to the internet or what?????

If he does I’ll give him a few websites that will get the gun firing on all cylinders so to speak…….. oh no I’ve done it again haven’t I?

Please lighten up a wee bit

Well they would be. No fun being shagged by a nutter who probably prefers colts anyway
I have heard from a fairly reliable source that they are going to start dressing mares up with moustaches and beards so big George can do the business.

Not the best horse by any means but for a race at Epsom I would back Motivator against any of them.

Detroit City should have been pulled up at the top of the hill, Richard Johnson obviously will claim that because of the horses nature he was right to keep going but I was pretty angry watching the race today. Rather than saving him for a better day he decided to batter the horse down the hill when in fifth place, watch the horse trying to get over the last fence and you’ll see why I think the horse should’ve been pulled out.

As for Johnsons performance on Fair Along – What a joke
I couldn’t agree more, So what if Coolmore had to let down a few clients. What would they have done, boycotted Coolmore because of it – I don’t think so.

The flat season hasn’t even started yet and already I’m fed up with it. Gutted. Any true racing fan must feel the same
I understand all the points regarding replacing Gw but was talking purely as a racing fan. However if George comes back into training then that would be fantastic

Surely the logical step is to put him back in training, although Coolmore won’t have any interest in him now that he can’t make them the millions they had hoped. Also can’t believe they have retired Holy Roman Emperor as a result, this sort of thing gets me really angry, a fascinating rivalry ruined just so the people at Coolmore can pocket more cash, it just goes to show that these people have no interest in us racing fans and only give a damn about the almighty buck. I’m gutted. Lets see what GW ends up doing now

Just watched footage of last years festival when Straw Bear tied up on the hill and was beaten on the line. Also looking at the Christmas hurdle and Agfa there’s no way he can be called the value bet. If he was in with any real chance then why would AP have wanted the ride on Brave Inca. Detroit has done nothing wrong so far, has beaten Hardy Eustace( although getting 4 lbs) and is guaranteed to be staying going up the hill. In my opinion he’s the banker of day one.
