Thanks for your help guys
£100 Win on Glens Boy @8/1 wtf do we do
it to ourselves???For me the worst punting year (i only bet on chases)for a long
long time!!!!Worse than what he did happens in 60% of races every day, jocks deliberatly stopping horses and very very rarely do they get banned/caught.
Human error 10 day ban more than enough.
Well i do know what im talking about it!!!
I was a work rider in various Jump yards when i was younger(and lighter!!)
I think the whip should only be carried and used if a horse veers off a straight line etc etc.
There are a few jockeys out there who are tagged as ”the greatest” ”the best” etc etc etc but how good would they be without the whip?
Graeme Lee ,Timmy Murphy,Jamie Spencer, and Richard Hughes would would be unaffected they are very good horsemen.
Another angle…if you were driving passed a field and there were a group of people on horses flogging them with whips …would you phone the RSPCA?????
Not really mate, just a small £5 bet just waiting for the jump season to get going, last 2 jump seasons have been dreadful for me hoping to get back on track this season
I just thought it was a poor ride from the jockey on the favourate,i try to keep my eyes open during a race for eyecatchers.
Brillaint read…glad i opened it!!!!!
Punters continue to get mugged and the stewards turn a blind eye to it,every so often they will pull in a small time trainer or middle of the road jockey and do them for non triers.
There are certain ”darlings” of the racing game that get away with murder.
Maybe im getting old….
But does anyone remember a ‘chaser called Big Ben way back in the late 70’s early 80’s,sure he once unseated rider and still won think it was an ITV 7 race.
Cheers Irish thats good enough for me!!!!!!
Yes totally agree with you Rob,but its almost as if someone knew the horse was not going to go for the tongue tie…4/1 out to 7/1 but i see your point.
By the way didnt have a bet,was going to do Maisy Daisy but missed the off.
Sure he trained one of my favourate if not favourate horses of all time IRISH TONY great chaser on the northern circuit… i was only about 7 or 8 but remember the excitment when looking at the Friday evening paper and seeing he would be running on the tv on saturday….sad????oh yes!!!!!
I dont bet on the flat bud..just thought 11 times inside the final furlong and a half is a bit much.
Sorry what am i saying its alright to do that to a horse not any other animal but a horse thats ok…cruel cruel sport at times.
BROOKLYN SPIRIT 4.35
Eddie AHern hit this young horse 11 times in the finish,if he is not stood down then there is no point in stewards being at the meeting!!!!!
Flogged this horse but im sure someone will come on and defend it.that seems to be ok.
This is one sick sport,
If u were to see someone down the local park flogging a horse like that u would phone the police.
Well done Luke, really happy for you.
I spoke to you a couple of years ago at Perth and you are one of the nicest down to earth people in racing media, couldnt happen to a nicer guy.
I enjoy the Hunter Chases, its real grass roots Jump racing my problem is there is a massive gap between between the very good riders and the bad riders…and some of the bad ones are REALLY bad,and i sometimes wonder how they get a jockeys permit, and i know they have to learn somewhere but they shouldnt be riding in Hunter Chases.
All the Irish/French….and German racing should have been behind the red button!!!!!
I would imagine most viewers would have been betting on the UK racing, feel cheated today as you were getting half a race no commentary missing the start or all,God knows how the ”in running” boys got on!!!!!!!!
Many thanks once again Lyphard really does mean alot
