Just a quick question guys, but have any of you had any dealings with this bookmaker?
Thankyou in advance
August 1, 2009 at 14:47 #242079Not had an account but my mate had a 9/2 winner with them for £25 – first bet and they shut him.
Reputable firm when it comes to paying out etc if that’s what you’re worried about.
August 1, 2009 at 15:31 #242098Cheers Irish thats good enough for me!!!!!!
August 1, 2009 at 15:43 #242105Well established firm in North Wales, Cheshire and a bit beyond.
August 1, 2009 at 16:10 #242109Would add they have a good few pitches on course too – mainly at NW tracks.
August 2, 2009 at 11:44 #242222Honest and reputable as far as paying out goes and backed by several shops in the north-west. The on-course operation caused great amusement when they turned up at Ludlow with a sign reading "No trade, no fractions, no workmen".
August 2, 2009 at 12:57 #242230They’ve a front line joint in Tatts at York (and Donny too IIRC) and have had a shop at the top of Micklegate in the city for several years now. Gets plenty of raceday trade being near the railway station and surrounded by pubs.
I’ve struck bets with them at the track and have found them both polite and accomodating.
edit:
Have an idea they bought Maurice Lindsay’s pitches
August 2, 2009 at 13:06 #242231I notice BGBet, Casinoredbet & Scotbet (Kenny Waugh?) have identical software, markets and prices to Corbett. What’s the nature of their affliation with each other, who’s running it for them?
August 2, 2009 at 14:22 #242244In the days when I used to use Bookmakers’ "fixed-odds" soccer coupons, Corbetts always used the same coupon(prices) that most smaller independent businesses used, one assumes because they were too small to employ their own odds-compilers / printers etc. ie It was cheaper. I assume the same applies to their website/software. It’s cheaper to get a 3rd party that specialises in that thing to do it for them.
The Corbett family always used to have a stand at Chester greyhounds (long since gone) and would take substantial bets there, especially if you were a regular. Ditto at Chester racecourse.
I don’t think the initial poster will have any problems with this company. - AuthorPosts
