Not all trainers are bulls**t
ters there are some genuine honest to goodness trainers out there ”hard to believe but true”3 i will mention and have dealt with are Allan King Donald McCain jnr and Nigel Twiston Davies
But again your entitled to your opinion.
Nice guy-Had dealings with Russ in the passed good honest northern jockey and a good judge of a horse.
Not a bulls**tter
if a horse was no good he would be the first to jump off in the paddock and tell you, none of the usuall rubbish”made a noise” ”coughed” or ”Lost action”
He could make a good trainer.

I think the yard will put him away for the season, and prepare him for another go at the national next season probably starting at Wetherby in November ..just my thoughts.
He did seem to be cantering when he came down.
Thanks for your comments
NO ITS NOT SPAM!!!
Ill just watch for now see what happens
Im with you on this one Lingfield.
Clan Royal a number of years ago took a beating round Aintree in the Becher Chase,he was struck with the whip something like 24 times from the last to the line, and i maintain he would have won a national if it wasnt for the flogging.
I know he has run a blinder in the past, but horses dont forget being flogged.
No if the rule was ‘no use of the ahip from the last” the result in my opnion would have been the same.
I see AP McCoy agrees with me,some sort of system where the horses start between 5-10 yards back from the line.
To get 40 horses at the tape all at the same time is very difficult, and the bottom line is we had a race unlike 1993.
What thay should do is have a marker/pole 5yards back from the start so the horses could walk in as the tape is raised for all jump racing
Fairplay to the guy
I thought he did a good job also liked when he said”ill wait here all night if i have to”
A very difficult job on jump racings biggest day of the season.
And in my opinion they all got a fair start.
