Thankyou once again…and was that in 1977 or 78?
I would be in tears so many happy happy memories of my childhood watching the ITV7…
That is why this is the best forum on the planet!!!!!thankyou to everyone
What meetings and what date was thar Lyphard????
Cant remember what i won…it was either 10pew or 20p ew over 30 years ago but feels like yesterday.
IRISH TONY was one of my favourate horses when i was a kid,use to wear quite a big sheepskin nose band(memories at the corner of my mind……)
Mcnae does my head in,when there is a jumps card,he treats it with total contempt.
Almost describing the Grand National as ”right lets go to Liver pool for a 4 and a half mile handicap chase”
But if hes doing a Kempton for a Handicap claimer on the all weather for £2,500 its”right what a mouthwatering race we’ve got here.
AAAGGGHHHHH!!!
Brilliant bet mate well done!!!
Thanks Ken i will remember that the next time mate.
Yes thats a good point…….
Wish i hadnt put my post uo now…sorry guys!!!!!!!
Someone said ”what would happen to all the 2 and 3 year olds not good enough for the flat???”
Well thats a whole new show,to me that is over breeding and the attitude of”oh well if its not good enough for the flat it might win a wee selling hurdle up north”
There really is no Black or white just a massive gret area on this subject!!!
Doug here what your saying but still doesnt make it right.
I havent had a bet in 5-6 weeks but i still love national hunt racing and check the forums for your guys opinions….
After another two horses dying today, one in the National and the worst one of them all shown live on the BBC in he FOXHUNTERS a horse called MEL IN BLUE laid stricken on the turf and by no fault of its own another horse jumps the fence and stands on the horses head….it looked terrible.
I question myself am i a cruel b a s t a r d for enjoying this sport???
What other animal would you be allowed to flog with a whip for the public to bet on????
I also question is the sport exceptable in this day and age?
Dont get me wrong i love jump racing but i have serious doubts for the future, ive been lucky enough to work in the racing industry as a work rider and still when time allows go down and help in the yard these animals are beautiful sensitive animals they really dont desreve this.
The argument will be oh they could have died on the gallops or in there box which is correct and im not clever enough to have an answer.
Saying that there could be some bargains to be had,its amazing how a horse can come out of a big yard and go to a smaller trainer who can spend more time on them and they improve big time.
Gutted one of my favourate horses,a real classy jumper, feel really sorry for the lad or lass that looked after him going home to an empty box….
Sometimes im ashamed of myself for being a national hunt fan…
I cant believe Sam Thomas is being blamed for this, the horse was never going today but Sam just worked away on him,if he had jumped the last we will never know but ide be pretty confident Denman would have wore down the leader.
But the the hell it is Sams fault for the horse falling **** Knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I find that incredable

To Gamble is to win or lose
If the horse didnt leave the stalls, you cant win so you cant lose, thats piss poor.
Thanks for all the great advice
I say ”i cant afford it” that was probably a bit of a bitchy strop!!!!
I dont drink or smoke i make a decent wage and i pay myself £50 a week family dont suffer finacially everything is cool
One good thing yesterday I thought ide put a £25 win on Frith at Kelso yesterday but didnt ”confirm the bet” didnt realise it until the jumped the last and genuinly thought he had got up on the line!!!
But anyways in going to take a month to 6 weeks off just chill out the flat is round the corner and i have had some massive payouts on the placepots over the years under that code.
Thanks for the feedback guys….
Think i will take a break(couple of months) really has been worsed jump season i have ever had in 20 years.
Placepots are my bread and butter even they have been very poor
Thanks once again.
Thats right spitfire..i bet that horse blind everytime the horse ran in the Uk,In my opinion he was a Gold Cup champ waiting to happen..lump in the thraot stuff when he did!!!
He was such a tough horse, think he wore blinkers the year he one it.
Another horse who was pure class but had a tragic end was STRONG PROMISE sheer class, jumped and traveled bet him in the Gold cup and was counting my money 100 yards from the line!!!!
