Jenny Carr, pursued by Gina Andrews and Isabel Tompsett – three of the very best women riders out there at present to the fore. Could be more of the same, from Jenny at least, in the final race at Fakenham this Sunday.
Yep, just waiting for the odds

A little birdy from Chudleigh told me she was good but I didn’t think this good.

Didn’t see her winning today and thought Humerous was getting too much weight!!

The tour:-

The winner of the Arc won’t be Dancing Brave but it will be Dar Re Mi if it runs.

This looks remarkably like a ‘Lammtarra’ Derby.
Zeitoper could be exactly the type of horse I am looking for to win this year. Lammtarra won at 16-1 on the day – well that’s what I had!
He will need to be supplemented so I’ll be waiting to see if he is.

Jenny Carr here we go : –

Looks a great ew bet@ 5-1

You need to make sure it is in tune with the surname, which is something I forgot to mention !!!

One of the lying idiots who took us into war with Iraq, then on into Afganistan.
Hopefully we now have a Government we can trust.
I played and prefer Union.
If it’s a good game it’s good entertainment.
Horse racing? It’s a good card so League will be 2nd choice.

It’s Advanced for me ratio bet at 28-1

For all her doubtless qualities Jenny Carr does not, alas, know how to get to the weighing room at Hackwood Park – they had to disqualify her from third in the Ladies Open there yesterday following an objection from the clerk of the scales.
Not sure she knows how many take you over the limit either! Looking forward to her next NH ride.

Hi Chloe,
We called our daughter Chloe Beth. That was 33 years ago and the name was little used. Chloe green and summery.
Shock horror it jumped to no.1 in no time.
Our son is John. We like names that cannot be shortened.
Boys names – George is good and strong and traditional.
Let us know what you choose.

Be very interesting to see where Swingkeel goes next certainly went further than the winner.
A bigger pot it will be!

well done fryern, the only one to mention the winner.
Thanks BB
I’ll have to teach you ratio betting
I have had one of those days stuck on the top of Bury Hill waiting for the AA for 5 hours!!I see Swingkeel was 5th so a warm up for something bigger at Goodwood, as someone pointed out.

Hi raymo61,
Green Manalishi looks a cracking ew bet in the race after the Chester Cup the 3.15. He’s 7-1 with Paddypower. He’s drawn 4 and loves the course and distance. His rating is a good 95.
Can’t decide between Swingkeel and Mamlook. Ladbrokes go 11-1 and 9-1, 1/4 the odds 4 places. They are drawn 4 and 5 which is good. I’d go ew on both.
Have a great day
Fry

BB as explained by the stewards the ‘winning’ distance was a pixel.
They decided more than a pixel was lost. When asked what if it had been more than a pixel they said they don’t do ‘what ifs’.
They were correct.

We enjoy watching C4 and always note down their Scoop 6 and charity bets as the ones to avoid!
I loved the way they asked Richard Hills for his charity bet on Saturday. Richard what is your bet? Oh it must be Azwaan and before he could open his lips they moved on……..
The only one on the panel who occasionally speaks sense is John Francombe.
‘Woman’ must be longing the day JM passes on. She’s so different when he’s not around.

It’s getting easier the field is down to 19.
I like Swingkeel and Mamlook but not their prices (12-1 & 9-1) so there is no hurry. Wait for a guaranteed run.
