Cracking performance from the winner. I backed Mandesha and have no complaints she ran right up to her best IMO Peeping Fawn was just too good.
I have seconditis at the moment.

Maybe if the jockey hadn’t tried for a strange run up the inside Mandesha could of got a length closer but agree Peeping Fawn was too good for them all today.
500 words isn’t many but I’ll give it a go because at least no-one will need to worry about being last, that spot is mine!

Balkan Knight came to win the race but didn’t go through with its effort and faded to finish 4th or 5th.

Now I’m back home no more damn internet cafes

The drift is gathering momentum on Betfair against Mandesha who runs in 30 minutes but 4/1 looks very generous to me despite the drift. 2pts win.
Mandesha won her 1st start this year,it was her 2nd race that she was beaten in
Indeed it was! Thanks for that.
That changes things a little, but it still doesn´t put me off the bet because it was 12f Gd-Sft it lost last time, though it wasn´t the storngest race. Think my 3pt bet is now a 2pt bet lol.
Trick Or Treat wiped its feet for a 0.8pt profit but gutted I didn´t put Moorhouse Lad up at 18-1 was worried I´d get luaghed at!

Next race at Goodwood 1pt ew Balkan Knight
2:15 Goodwood 1pt ew Trick Or Treat @ 8-1
Looks overpriced on her best form and looks to have a squeak in this race
In my humble opinion the race revolves around Mandesha. The horse is unbeaten on good ground (not raced on faster) having won all four starts on good ground (though it was subsequently disqualified in one of those). Its also won one of two starts at 10f. However its defeat over 10f is readily excused as it was its debut.
Which also leads onto another interesting point. Unraced as a 2yo, Mandesha was beaten on her first run as a 3yo and was also beaten on her first seasonal run as a 4yo…. leading to suggestions she hasn´t trained on? Could it not be that she needed the run? Other than her two seasonal debuts backers have collected everytime. She is proven at the trip and distance and looks a good thing to me, though I won´t get rich backing her.
Maybe Light Shift can chase her home, and I´m still convinced Nannina´s got a big run in her so there´s my 1-2-3 for a laugh

If Finsceal Beo wins the Nassau I will not post again and declare myself a horse racing dunce.

She has absolutely no chance she barely gets a mile.
I´ll hold you to that if she does

Good luck Max, my flukey run has well and truly ended lol.
Daily Profit -1pt
Running Up Bank 119.25ptsNot sure if this is allowed lol but….
2:50 Goodwood
On Betfair Rio De Lat Plata is 1-3 to place. Worth a 3pt lay at that price in my book because with only 2 places I dont think thats a fair price its far too short.
Nice one Max

Mine not too clever this time though, -2pts

July 29, 2007 at 13:36 in reply to: Glorious Goodwood Tipping Competition – Starts Tuesday 31st #109633If I remember and can get access to a computer I´ĺl give it go….. means no-one will have to worry about finishing last.
12-1 last weekend, but Madman Marx seems to be suggesting you would be mad to back Scorpion at any price.
2:50A Aside from some small tickles at pricestupid prices a horse I do think has a chance is Orientor. Hes clearly not the force of old, but it was a good effort from him last time and conditions suit today so a good run could be on the cards and his price makes him worth a nibble imo. Hogmaneigh and Green Manalishi could be the two to beat.
1pt ew Orientor @ 22-1
3:25A I´m a sucker for layer friendly unraced maiden races and the logical play is probably to lay the front two win and place but instead I´ve gone for a small bet on Arctic Cape and Crystal Rock at 38 and 50s as they are capable of running well based on breeding (though the betting is a better indicator and says they wont)
Maybe people like me who backed him at 12-1 felt he represented value, given that Dylan Thomas may not have run to his best on testing ground? Its easy to aftertime why not post in the lays and selections so we can see how you measure up if your that confident about what people should be backing?
Oh sorry about that Maxilon, you never seem to get any luck with your selections (horses and poker lol)!
Profit 14pts

2:00 Ascot – 1pt Montagne Dor 10-1
Nicely bred and I feel its a little overpriced but just speculative really.
3:45 Ascot – 1pt ew Third Set 12-1
Looks to have a decent chance and would expect it to be place at least really.
