500 words isn’t many but I’ll give it a go because at least no-one will need to worry about being last, that spot is mine!
August 5, 2007 at 20:51 #110629OK – quite a few takers. We’ll make a start next Saturday when the first two guest value seekers will be Micky Mo and Young Mick. Agenda as follows (anyone on holiday etc let me know and I’ll swap things around).
August 11th – Micky Mo + Young Mick
August 18th – Carvills Hill + Scribbles
August 25th – Tony25 + Letsgetracing
Sept 1st – Davidbrady + Madman Marz
Sept 8th – The Welsh Wizard + heffo (I take it you are both giving it a go)
Sept 15th Flatseasonlover and I’ll have a go then to make up the numbersAugust 6, 2007 at 20:44 #110727Can I throw my name into the hat Cormack? Don’t mind waiting or slotting in at the last minute…
August 6, 2007 at 21:34 #110731Consider yourself in NV – you can do 15th September and I’ll hold off a week.
August 6, 2007 at 22:13 #110736Jeez, I’m first off.
I better advise a geat tip at 4/7, that goes off at 5/4 and then scrambles home by a short head

At least you guys will have to find an 8/13 or better that wins to beat me lol.
I can’t wait, I tried studying tonight for a race on Saturday, but there are still 634 declared runners for each of the televised races lol.
Good luck all,
Mike
August 6, 2007 at 22:19 #110737I’d imagine the Old Newton Cup and the Shergar Cup races are those that will be priced up.

So there aint going to be a 3 runner ‘claimer’ with the fav at 1/4 I can go for then
I think pricing up claimers 24 hours in advance is the future

August 6, 2007 at 22:29 #110739Sent you 2 PMs Corm- Can’t do the 18th- at a wedding on 17th!
Would love to do Irish Champion Stakes if possAugust 7, 2007 at 16:35 #110808Now then… does it have to be in his style or can I make it like my own.. I think I found my race… but don’t think it’s weird if it isn’t exactly like pricewise.. it’s been ages since i could afford my own racing post
August 7, 2007 at 20:25 #110818Whatever style you choose YM!
August 7, 2007 at 22:19 #110824Furnish me with a date, Corm, I’d be well up for it.
August 8, 2007 at 00:35 #110830Being that i’ve never read a Pricewise column, i’d be pushed to emulate his style. I’ll just do it my way, using devil-may-care bravado and intuition. Who needs a formbook?
August 8, 2007 at 09:22 #110848I can’t do the 1st, 8th, or 15th of September cos I’ll be in on holidays. I don’t mind waiting until after that if that’s OK.
August 8, 2007 at 18:58 #110892That’s fine DB.
August 10, 2007 at 13:22 #111011Madman – I’m asking people who are doing this to have the copy to me by 9pm on the Friday evening, two per week by invitation. That way they cannot be influenced by pricewise. And, yes, it’s EXACTLY like Pricewise, which is the whole point.
Can anyone think of a suitable name for this new weekly Feature?
As I rely totally on the Bible for my selections and My RP doesn’t be available to me until around 8am on a Saturday Morning, having to have your article and selection in by 9pm on the Friday I would be relying on a lot of guesswork, what if your pricewise race is 25 runner sprint, with ground conditions like a bog, thats where the RP comes in handy in pinpointing horses that will slog through the mud (ok you will know some who do through experience but not all). I think 12 noon on a Saturday would be ample time Cormack.
Not that I have any pretentions to picking a winner, but it does sound like fun.August 10, 2007 at 14:10 #111012Madman – I’m asking people who are doing this to have the copy to me by 9pm on the Friday evening, two per week by invitation. MM,
Can you not access the Racing Post on the net like most other people? That way you could have your selections in by 9pm on the Friday.

August 10, 2007 at 16:04 #111023TYPICAL! I thought I would get a headstart on my research and all the horses I looked into have been withdrawn! Well I have tried my best but I now have to say.. it is harder than it seems.
