I like Seedling too, though his course form is not a must according to the stats regarding the Supreme. Henderson has won it last in 1992 with Flown, so that is not exactly HIS race at the Festival and Ex-Flat racers aren’t also favoured by the stats. So therefore I will have another look at Shaneshill, Alvisio Ville and Tell Us More.
Good luck to everyone! My usual question, stil unanswered:
WHY DO THE MOST INEXPERIENCED HORSES HAVE TO RUN ON THE WORST POSSIBLE GROUND?
Bumpers are in over 95% of the time the last race of the card. Horses that have never seen a racetrack have to run through holes by the time race 7 or 8 starts.
It’s not racing in a third world country, though the ground sometimes looks like if were from there.Rest in Peace poor girl! No one will change anything about it, cause no one wants to!!!

If you are patient enough and will place your bet after the 5th race of day one you might easily get 20/1 the field in running. Ruby has four odds-on shots in the first five races. If only two of them win the field might be easily at around 10/1. Then you can still decide to have a go or not. If Ruby wins all four races then the bet is over and you kust save your cash.
Well done Jac!!! Impressive piece of tipping so far 2/2 ! WOW!!!!
Something tells me that Ruby will be riding The Fly on Tuesday. He wouldn’t have too much to fear from Jezki or The New One in my opinion and I think Faugheen could be a bit over rated. We shall see…
Me too….
Don’t forget jockeys like Geraghty, Johnson and Cooper. They all know how to win at the Festival and their trainers have plenty of lightly raced or unexposed horses.
Ruby is way too short…. And yes STD has very interesting and solid looking rides.2.00 Sandown: AIGLE DE LA SEE (NAP)
4.10 Chepstow: MOLO
4.45 Chepstow: WHISPERING HARRYReserves:
5.20 Chepstow: MANBALLANDALL
1.40 Ayr: SUBTLE GREY
2.10 Ayr: QUITE THE MANWell let’s put it this way: the 4th placed horse that day – Bouvreuil – had his 2nd start in Britain and if he felt more at home this time than on his debut, then Qewy’s performance is even more remarcable. Personally I am not a huge fan of John Ferguson, but this one looks very lightly raced, will love the greound and will also travel prominent with the pace. So why not, since I wouldn’t want to jump on the Mullins bandwagon at all!!!!
I thinks he lacks the fire power behind the Riccis, Gigginstown, Munir/Suedes and other unexposed Henderson horses. Therefore his price is just about correct. Plus he rarely rides Cheltenham as good as Ruby or Barry. What he could win is the final race of the Festival in which his mount will go off at around 3/1 I reckon. I think that is a race everybody wants him to win.
What I hate so much about the entire Sprinter Sacre story is that you don’t have any reliable information regarding the horse. You can’t believe what the trainer says, you can’t expect him to improve to his old best and not bleed at the same time, you just have to guess. Which is quite a shame for a race of this calibre. The option to take him out of the race though, is still a very possible one in my opinion.
There is over a week to go… And looking at the trainer form this season there isn’t much to suggest that the stable is back in full swing.Another sad loss, but I guess he was able to enjoy his retirement.
Almost every top jockey rode him: Ruby, Woody, Dickie, Carberry and the other bloke.
Incredible how fast time goes by!!!Rest in Peace Marlborough
This is very sad news. What a nice and lovely horse he was and he went way too soon.
Rest in Peace NacaratSo sad!!!!! He was very genuine and consistent and still a high class performer. I’m quite sure that he received the best medical treatment available. Too bad that horses are too fragile.
Rest in Peace Cavalryman!March 1, 2015 at 23:44 in reply to: Select 3 Horses to win on Saturday 28th February UPDATED #779240I didn’t have many winners yesterday, except for Sound Investment and Leave It Be. For the competition I would have fancied the latter since the stable is quite shrewd and the horse relatively unexposed. Sound Investment was tipped all over the place yesterday and I usually try to avoid such horses since all the value disappears. But we have another weekend with good racing and of course The Festival next week. The best sporting event in the world.
