It’s only halftime Gentlemen and from tomorrow on they will be racing on the New Course – which I can’t read at all.
Well maybe retirement could be a bit premature regarding SDG. But I hate to see a former Champion Chase winner running for minor place money against younger and faster horses. Probably a step up in trip could be worth a try. As far as Sprinter Sacre is concerned, please let me know what the next experiments are. Apparently MILKSHAKES are a good drink.
@ Steve: It was a wake-up thread!!! I’m glad that they are bang in form since I was on Southfield Theatre, Dodging Bullets and Aux Ptits Soins. I don’t mind being wrong with the start of my thread. Nevertheless one chase winner from over 80 runners is still a bit weak for a bloke like him.
Sprinter Sacre is believed to be suffering from something internal. Come on Nicky, you have completely forgotten how to train a chaser. Let the horse retire in one piece!

Yeah, she didn’t want to go at all and was already 40 lenghts behind at the first fence. What a waste of life again!
0 for his last 78 !!!!! Yet 2nd favourite in the race.
Paul Nicholls is 0 for his last 77 with chasers at the Festival. Who am I to be sure that number 78 will end the drought????
I like Seedling too, though his course form is not a must according to the stats regarding the Supreme. Henderson has won it last in 1992 with Flown, so that is not exactly HIS race at the Festival and Ex-Flat racers aren’t also favoured by the stats. So therefore I will have another look at Shaneshill, Alvisio Ville and Tell Us More.
Good luck to everyone! My usual question, stil unanswered:
WHY DO THE MOST INEXPERIENCED HORSES HAVE TO RUN ON THE WORST POSSIBLE GROUND?
Bumpers are in over 95% of the time the last race of the card. Horses that have never seen a racetrack have to run through holes by the time race 7 or 8 starts.
It’s not racing in a third world country, though the ground sometimes looks like if were from there.Rest in Peace poor girl! No one will change anything about it, cause no one wants to!!!

If you are patient enough and will place your bet after the 5th race of day one you might easily get 20/1 the field in running. Ruby has four odds-on shots in the first five races. If only two of them win the field might be easily at around 10/1. Then you can still decide to have a go or not. If Ruby wins all four races then the bet is over and you kust save your cash.
Well done Jac!!! Impressive piece of tipping so far 2/2 ! WOW!!!!
Something tells me that Ruby will be riding The Fly on Tuesday. He wouldn’t have too much to fear from Jezki or The New One in my opinion and I think Faugheen could be a bit over rated. We shall see…
Me too….
