Yes spot on Homersimpson. It is sheer madness.
Also if you did win a couple of grand then got stopped after losing a ton I feel sure they would close your account as it would take 20 weeks to get their cash back thats if you lost every time.
They have finally taken over the asylum.

If you think it’s bad now wait until the affordability checks come in.
I’ve gambled on horse racing almost half a century but I am afraid once I am asked to show if I can afford it or not and can only lose £100 per week/month that is me done.
I will walk away and I say countless other will follow.
It will be a sad day for racing and may well be the end of racing as we know it.
It will continue but it will be vastly different which will be sad.

    Thanks Red Rum.
So if I am correct then , I could win say 2000 but would need to lose 2100 before they stopped me.

I have listened to podcasts about this subject. Tony Calvin was trying to defend the exchanges stating that there was a paper trail and so whoever laid the horse could be traced. That maybe so and if the case why have these people not been identified and banned. That bit was no discussed on the podcast, why I don’t know.
Surely if Betfair are aware the horse was doped why would they pay out or whoever lost their money because clearly it was an illegal act.
My main point is why are the Police not involved. Surely it is a crime. Whoever was/is involved have actually stolen money.
I think we all know the game is corrupt, to what extent is debateable but until the Police get involved and racing stops burying it’s head in the sand and bans culprits for life it will go only one way and that is down the pan.

Finally today he as come out and said he’s had a bug in the yard. I wonder how many in the press knew and said nothing therefore depriving the poor punter of useful information.
It is not good for the sport imo.
Trainers and the press need to be more upfront.

Still completely out of form. Zero out of 25 in the last 14 days.
Is that why Power went back to Ireland?
    Probably not.
I hope things pick up soon but normally when a stable is so out of form someone says something and they end up shutting shop.

I would tend to agree about the skullduggery in Irish racing. Not so sure about the UK although no doubt it goes on.

Last 14 days running at 7% success rate. For a top yard with the quality of horses he has, that is poor. Hence why there is probably a problem and maybe like Henderson admit it and try and find the problem. Henderson is 23% success rate in last 14 days but after tomorrow is having no runners for several days to try and find why some of his horses have ran below par. Tizzard should maybe do the same.

He is now saying he is shutting up shop for a few days as his horses are not quite right. Take that as you will but bizarelly he is still running some tomorrow at Newbury

Hi BH I prefer your analysis which was excellent. All the stats do indeed leave me cold. Please go back to essays.
On another note I hope you have found accomodation and your situation if dire is improved.

    Take care

Cartmel the worst by far. If you stand in the stands you cannot see half the race then they go into the woods. Pointless.

I find the whole show boring.
The pictures of the racing I don’t like especially when the car is in front of the horses you havbe no idea whats happening half the time. Just show the racing.
Mick Fitzgerald is the Oxford dictionary description of boring.
Luke tries but is actually trying.
I like Chappers but he does go on to much sometimes.
Nobody says it as punters would like for example when a jockey gives a bad ride, say so. Don’t make excuses for them, it’s their job.

Cork all star. It was atrocious not bad. Lots of jockeys ride bad races but not so glaringly as that. I know O’Brien does not care one jot about punters but it is punters that keep the merry go round going. When you see rides like that it makes you (me) wonder what is the point of punting when that happens and everyone just accepts it.
That is what is wrong with racing to a large degree. No one ever critisces a bad/poor ride for fear of what I don’t know, maybe losing their jobs. Matt Chapman does to a large extent critisce but more should be said.
By the way I didn’t back the horse.
You can’t hope to bring new people into watching the sport and say nothing about rides like that.

I cannot see Battash losing and 2/1 seems a steal. However how certain is he to run. Does anyone know. It’s only because I don’t rate Charlie Hills.
