I have to say having now watched it, it actually beggars belief and whilst it is good as others have said that amateurs can live the dream, surely thye welfare of Maxwell himself must come into question. If he cannot stay on a horse that made virtually no mistake, the authroities should question his suitability to ride for his sake/welfare as well as others.

Sadly it happens all to often. Nothing will change. We will moan but the Stewards will do nothing and at the end of the day we either stop gambling or just accept it.
    A shocking ride though.

I was about to post something to on the matter along with Joseph O’Brien who is 0 from 38 in the last 14 days.
Does anyone know if either have a virus in the yard. Something must be wrong.
No wonder Mullins and De Bromhead are clearing up.

If Kennedy mentions the fooking Tote again I will go mad. I would not mind as he keeps saying they won’t ban you no matter what you win or how much you bet, but the RP report how the Tote are questioning people after having deposited more than £750 in their account.
No wonder racing is in dire straits. The first time they question me I am off to the black market like I suspect many others will.
Anyway I hope the Tote are paying Kennedy enough to promote themselves as I am no longer listening to his podcast. Bye bye FFP you are gone.

Sadly only backing 1 winner all 4 days. Roll on next year.
However watching Blackmore is something else. She just outrides other jockeys.
I know she didn’t win the Gold Cup but she certainly stopped Townsend from winning it with her move on the bend. That was a top class move and something that only a few possess. Unfortunately it didn’t work out for her this time but she is top class.

Thanks Ian, I will try and do the same and I am pleased I am no longer alone. I too like to be at the finish line in the highest point of the stands for the best view whenever possible.
Paulostermeyer the vantage point from the normal stands at Chepstow from the bottom bend to 3 out was non existent and I would have loved to have got on top of the grandstand there.
Still today will be the first time in over 20 years, bar of the course the foot and mouth, when I won’t be at Cheltenham.
Good luck to everyone today and let’s hope all the horses come back safe and sound.

Ian on what other platforms do you use to watch the racing as I call proper. That is as if watching from the stands. I detest theses moving cameras that follow in front and yoou can only make out about 2-3 horses and you miss the ones that make mistakes etc.
Plus it gives me a headache too watching it like that.
    Any suggestions welcomed

This is something that actually annoys me. Greyhounds are weighed and their weight is recorded and given out at meetings prior to the race.
Why can’t race horses be weighed when they get to the races and their weights be published. i for one would love that info.

Before anyone goes off on one and I may well be in the minority, but just sit back for a moment and look what he as done.
Someone as taken a photo of him sat on a dead horse. I am not condoning it in any form but he’s hardly killed anyone.
have we not all made mistakes in life, some worse than others and maybe not got caught or punished for it.
He as just lost his job for at least 6 months and the hardship that may bring him and his staff for a stupid mistake.
Far worse goes on everyday in the world and we turn a blind eye rightly or wrongly.
He admitted the mistake, he’s taking his punishment and I beleive it’s time to move on. Today’s news is tomorrows chip paper.
By the way I was horrified and as shocked as everyone else but I don’t believe banning someone for life for a mistake his correct.

    Well summed up QF.
I do like the Paddy Power one with Ruby on. However he does not do it every week. He says it as it is and doesn’t talk balls like a lot of them do.
He always gives a good insight into Willie’s runners but only if asked. However if he gives one of Mullins as his best bet they generally win although tend to be short.
He says Micro mangage will win Sunday. We will see.

@BigG I am not a hard man to convince and I have no doubt that it is all true.
My point is that far worse is going on in the world that no one bats an eye about, like I said in China.
The saying that money makes the world go round is very true.
It is a sad world we live in today.

Why would we throw him out and what benefit would it do to Racing as a whole.
Firstly we have only one side of the story which is the British Press and what they have been given by the alleged missing Princess. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying it is not true in the slightest. It probably is.
However we have not heard the other side from Sheik Mo, or we probably have when they say she is fine. Who do we beleive? Everyone will have their own opinion on that one.
Lots of Human Rights abuses go on in Countries all over the World, yet people will still go on holiday to those countries.
China is probably the worst at the minute for Human Rights abuse yet I bet that most on here have bought something that was made there in the last 2 months. No thought there for the poor Uighur Muslims.
I would imagine that Sheik Mo contributes an enourmous amount of money to the UK economy so the Goveerment nor Racing is going to do anything about it so basically we have to live with it and not throw him out.
