Chris Cook reporting that Tizzard has suggested King George might come under consideration. And of the Betfair Chase the trainer said “I don’t suppose we better go to Haydock, had we?”
He must think this horse is something right enough
I was thinking that, this quote:
“He needs another novice, but he’s not a five-year-old, he’s had plenty of hurdle races. After that [Cheltenham] I think you could do what you wanted.”
Makes it sound like if he wins a novice race at Cheltenham on the saturday of the open meeting they’ll run him in the King George.
I’ve stuck a few quid on Erdogan at 50/1, unraced colt Frankel x Dar Ra Mi with John Gosden. As I see potential for his odds to shorten if he makes a pleasing debut. Hopefully he runs in 1 or 2 one mile maidens and is then put away for next year.
Looks like Mehmas is going for the National Stakes on Sunday:
“He rides Persuasive for John (Gosden) in the Matron Stakes and then on Sunday he rides Mehmas in the National Stakes and Diploma for Sir Michael Stoute in the Group Two Blandford Stakes,” said Cochrane.
Majoris absolutely laughed at his mark of 76, even though the class of race you can’t help but be impressed by that performance. It will be interesting to see how he copes upped in class now.
Talk of Limato being supplemented for this. I think he’ll be as effective over 5f as he is 6f if he jumps out like he did in the July cup.
Profitable is too short at 7/2 here.
I’ll wait later to bet but Acapulco at 7/1 is tempting. Hopefully Limato is supplemented and will be my selection if he is.
US Army Ranger withdrawn after drift on exchange.
Edit: Did not scope clean.
If anyone can point me in the direction of somewhere where I can upload the spreadsheet file to share on here I can share this spreadsheet I created as a bet tracker:

Timform have given her the rating 95P
On the bridle Joni, has lots of speed, definitely group class.
A Shin Hikari is now top priced 3/1 and as low as 6/4 for this after he won the Prix d’isfahan at Chantilly today by 10 lengths.
1st born, 1st runner, 1st winner! He showed a good attitude there and knuckled down to see it out.
I’m with Raymo, I think GOLDEN CHIEFTAN has every chance of taking this.
From winning over 3m3f at Fontwell last November, he has always looked like he could
win a marathon, and hasn’t run a bad race since. He won well over 3m2f at Wincanton in
January, and followed that up in February when he looked to have the race sewn up when
falling 3 out.Still plenty of 20s about, or an extra 5th place with Skybet at 18/1. That will do for me.
Well done Bobby Bluebell taking 16s for Sizing Coal, he is the biggest worry to me, but at
5/1, like the other Bobby, I feel I’ve missed the boat there. If he drifts before the race
I’d have a few quid on him to cover my bet.I got up this morning had a look at the card and Golden Chieftan looked massive at 20s, come on here read this thread and seen your post saying skybet are paying 5 so had £15 each way with them! Gutted!
Being there in the crowd when Ruby and Annie turn the corner and kick clear going up to the last. The atmosphere upped a notch, almost palpable. As soon as she cleared the final hurdle the roar was tremendous, it was electric. Almost like everyone thought “******* hell she is good!” You’d never get that on the flat!
“Vautour has done far better work this week than he has in the last three (weeks).
“That tells me he should go for the Gold Cup. Every year at Christmas Vautour disappoints us a bit, and every year he improves in the spring and for the hill at Cheltenham. This year looks no different. We expect a huge run.”
I don’t get it when Mullins says “…every year at Christmas Vautour disappoints us a bit…”
Yeah, that 2nd to Cue Card in the KG looks a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT to me too. Please retire him if you’re serious about his KG run.If you take that at face value then it means Vautour is in for a huge run. Second in a King George when not quite fit with Ruby making to much use of him to early.
The previews are just Chinese whispers every year.
Rich Ricci has said that Vautour will not run at the festival if he doesn’t run in the Gold Cup.
Vautour is the most likely winner, unless its worse than soft. I really can’t have Don Cossack. I think he bullies small fields, and his Fez form is horrid.
I hope Vautour wins with Cue Card and Smad Place in behind.

Bit of positive news for Vautour backers.
