I think Ricou is a good jockey hopefully we see him riding some top horses for sean mulryan, Thierry Doumen was a quality jockey aswell especially when riding Baracouda and First Gold. I wouldn’t say we prefer vigorous jockeys in England it’s just that Mccoy seems to have most success riding horses in that way, plenty of other jockeys are less vigorous such as Timmy Murphy and Ruby Walsh and they are both succsesful
he says if the ground is unsuitably testing Newmill will go for the champion Hurdle
Banister Lane
Sir Percy may run at lingfield in the winter Derby next month if he bypasses Dubai. Is he gonna carry on racing then next season or is he being retired to stud after the race in Dubai/Lingfield
That meeting at Haydock is part of a 2 day event with Aintree called the North West Masters it’s run the day b4 the beecher chase maybe thats why its run at haydock plus the south have there fair share of races
Hedgehunter and possibly In Compliance now out the gold cup, for me only possible challengers to Kauto Star now are Exotic Dancer, War of Attrition and maybe Lami thats if Kauto jumps round
 lol what if Mccoy rides straw bear and straw bear beats brave inca by a nose the 2% makes all the difference then
It is a grade 1 isn’t it? I fancy Monkerhostin at 20-1 only it has multiple enteries at cheltenham as do alot of horses in the race Kauto Star has a entry if he runs surely he only has to get round
This is off attheraces Mccoy talking about Straw Bear he doesn’t mantion the champion hurdle so is he gonna ride Brave Inca
Tony McCoy believes the forcing tactics he employed on Straw Bear at Wincanton on Saturday could be the making of him.
The champion jockey made nearly all on the JP McManus-owned six-year-old and puts the gelding’s improvement in the jumping department down to the fact he was out on his own in front.
"It was his best round of jumping in a race so far, he was quicker and more fluent over the hurdles than he has been to date," McCoy said.
"I think the way I rode him probably helped because he was on his own a long time. He’s a good traveller and the majority of horses who don’t travel in their races make mistakes.
"So I wouldn’t say it was because he had it easy that he jumped better, but more down to the fact of the way I rode him – being a bit more aggressive on him maybe helped him jump that little bit better.
"The one thing about him in all his races, touch wood, is that he travels very well," McCoy told At The Races.
Fair point there are a lot of ifs and buts with sporazene but who knows what will happen it’s racing
Well then Mccoy has a decision to make is he powered by money or riding good horses.
Quote: from dave 22 on 4:52 pm on Feb. 20, 2007[br]Brave inca didnt keep finding more for AP in the AIG did he!?!
Yes but last year in the Champion Hurdle he found more surely Mccoy shud be able 2 ride again BI is a betta horse than SB
Football crazy
Bear,
you can’t say that the jockey don’t matter. e.g Look at Ruby Walsh on Kauto Star a less experienced jockey wouldn’t stay on KS where as Walsh does
Virtual racing is a scam how can it be compared 2 real racing.
Sorry to any 1 i offended by missing out certain jockeys it wasn’t done on purpose. I think Timmy Murphy, Barry Geraghty, Paul Carberry, etc are all top class jockeys but i doubt whether or not i included them would have changed who came out on top in the poll. Every 1 seems to like Ruby Walsh and Tony Mccoy the best
Race 1 – Wise Owl (Mccoy rides david pipe trains)
Race 2 – Le Rouge Fatal (top weight won last time out)
Race 3 – Akilak (useful hurdler now chasing)
Race 4 – Top Cloud (favourite)
Race 5 – Silver Chancellor (good weight unfancied)
Race 6 – Nile Moon (Tom Greenalls A class amateur rider)
thats my system to winning the jackpot
