I thought that the ride on Zebedee was absolutely first class. When it comes off for him he looks really good
Thanks again Lingfield – most informative.
I always thought that he never got the credit he deserved over here.
I vaguely remember him riding the promising, but sadly ill fated Canadian Crown for Mr CumaniHi Lingfield
Thanks for the info re Carlisle.
I agree that Starkey was stable jockey and top notch at that.
I have fond memories of Tony Clark though, as talking through my pocket, I had a really good record at following his rides for Mr Harwood at the lesser meetings.
All the bestHi Wen64
If you know Mr Fahey, why haven’t you put the horse into training with him ?. That comment is in no way disrespecting your other connectionsI agree with you anthonycutt.
There are certain individuals that are too intolerant of others.
When an individual is thinking of posting they should not be having to look over their shoulder and worrying what the forum secret police response will be.
Everyone is entitled to a view and a voice imo.
If the rest of us aren’t interested then we aren’t compelled to read it
Live and let liveVery good posts Conundrum and Burrough Hill Lad.
I actually believe him to be on a winning mark if he puts his best hoof forwards.
He has won in the past of marks of 90 and 85 (twice). He is currently racing off 63 and his last win came around 12 months ago off 64. The problem being that he has ran and failed to win 26 times in that periodVery good
Sorry to hear about your ankle mate – speedy recoveryHi Burrough Hill Lad
Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought that you meant that the apprentice would kick him out quicker and then hold him up, as he did when he won on him.
Still he is entered at Musselburgh on Thursday alsoHadn’t noticed that Burrough Hill Lad.
As you say I shouldn’t think he will dwell in the stalls today.
The trip is almost 7 furlongs and Carlisle is a track with an emphasis on stamina, so it may suit a hold up horse anyway.
The rest of my thoughts are knownHi Matthew
I agree that the Ascot atmosphere is great, and its a great day out too.
Personally I love Cheltenham.
At the other end of the racing spectrum, but nevertheless a great day out, I can heartily recommend Cartmel. Be prepared though, as the traffic can be a nightmare down the country lanesI think that we all realise that Kieren’s best days are certainly behind him, but still nice to see him have a big day for once.
I think he is probably capable of the occaisional hurrah, but will probably not get back to the top of his profession.Lol. And there’s me thinking that informed, constructive debate, and respect for differing views, was a thing of the past.
Glad to be proved wrong on that one !I agree with you Joncol.
Although reluctant to dismiss Workforce entirely after one performance, I really do think that it was a substandard Epsom Derby, and, in my opinion, the middle distance 3 year olds this season are a moderate bunch.
Having said that Harbinger put in a cracking performance and really is an improved, and still improving, horseHi Mike.
Highly amusing post.
Although not a massive Fallon fan, it is nice to see him back in the winners in good quality races, as I have felt a bit sorry for him this season.
Although I don’t think he is riding anywhere near his best, he is still a competent jock if he gets the right mounts, in my opinionI think it shows that the middle distance 3 year olds are a moderate bunch this year.
Having said that, it was some performance by Harbinger. He must have improved more than 2 stone in the last year.
I look forward to watching him again in the futureHi.
I agree that I wouldn’t rate him as an odds on jolly. Having said that I will be happy to be proved wrong and for him to prove himself a star.
My reasoning is that I am none too confident of the stable form at the moment. That backed by at least 2 serious rivals in the form of his stablemate and an ever dangerous O’Brien rival makes me think that he should be odds against.
Not going to have a bet in the race but just going to sit back and enjoy it.
Good luck with Harbinger if you are having a betHi Pinza
I would obviously be willing to contribute to your levy on behalf of the (supposedly) Flat Earth Society, lol.
The other mistake you made in your earlier post was to accuse me of ignorance of equine physiology when , in fact, part of my degree was in that area of science.
Still why let the facts get in the way mate.
Perhaps we agree to disagree, as I find it a tad futile to keep receiving answers to a question that I am not asking, or worse, facetious responses that provide no answer at all- AuthorPosts
