    Cheers Gaz, good pics.

Since we’re on a photo thread, rather than start a new thread here are 3 pics I took at Kempton on Boxing day 2007 for anyone who is interested..

Song Of Songs pulling a face at me in the parade ring before winning the opener for me..

Taranis in the parade ring before the King George..

The best picture I’ve ever taken! Was really happy to get this pic, Kauto Star in the parade ring before winning the King George..

I thought channel 4 were showing Doncaster, why didn’t they show the 2.25 just now? I had to listen on the radio, the 2.20 kempton race finished at 2.26 and they could have switched and shown the end but didn’t mention it at all..

I agree with Andrew, luckily I don’t think I’ve said anything absolutely stupid (I hope) that has warranted a heckling but as a novice I have noticed some of the senior posters can be quite harsh at times and it is rather intimidating!

Luckily a lot of you are great chaps and have been a great help in the past, taking time out to explain things in great detail, especially Mikky recently.

    :D

I’ve seen far worse, a recent incident being Granite Jack.

Dont have money on "most races" …if on a budget

True, although it’s more exciting to watch when I have money on it!

    Sorry Chris,

I must have started typing the same time as you.

But Paul, I forgot to mention. All the above is just what’s on offer now. I can’t wait for the new version with the jumps – I hope it’s not a big let down.

    Mike

Ha, I was about to reply saying your reply to Paul was much better than mine

You are correct with the purchase info Paul.

So if you buy this you’ll be able to ride round Cheltenham? Or is it a training game – Stablemasters etc? I’m unable to access the website at work as it seems to be classed as gambling.

I always enjoyed G1 Jockey but this would be something else…

From what I’ve read in the past from peoples reviews it’s the most realistic race horse management game out there, I got SO2 about 2 years back and loved it, but it just has flat racing, all the big races at the big meets feature though.

Fans of the game have wanted jump racing added and finally their wish has been granted, and yes the Gold Cup will feature, SO2 was 20 quid but I don’t know how much this will be, similar price I imagine, I’m really looking forward to it :D

I’d be absolutely devastated if he doesn’t make the gold cup, had a text from a mate sayin he’s out earlier, I was at the Manchester United game at the time an I can honestly say it ruined my night and now I’m just waiting to hear the news tomorrow, for me this was the sporting event of the year.

I’m going to the Joe Calzaghe vs Bernard Hopkins boxing fight in Vegas in April but was looking forward to the gold cup more than that and am at Cheltenham on the Thursday and Friday, Kauto being out would ruin the occasion so praying it is an over reaction.

He looked so comfortable winning so it is strange that he is supposedly injured, I guess we just have to wait a few more hours but I fear the worst :(

Terrible news such a shame if he’s out the festival won’t be the same, this was the race we all wanted to see, fingers crossed but I’m a pessimist so not confident! :(

Setanta have the worst customer service out of any company I’ve ever dealt with, a number of my friends signed up to the 1 month rolling contract offer and were on hold for upto 3 hours or had to make about 20 phone calls to actually be put on hold for 3 hours when trying to cancel.

There is an email address for customer services, but funnily enough you can’t cancel by email, you have to cancel on the phone, which probably costs another months viewing for the cost of the call, or you can cancel in writing.

You also now cannot cancel your direct debit with them as if you check your bank account the payment is not taken as a direct debit, I looked through my direct debits and it is not listed there, they simply take the payment every month, somehow, a lot of my friends simply cancelled the direct debit as they couldn’t get through for love nor money, but it appears Setanta have found a solution to stop this occurring..

They are supposed to reply to emails within 5 working days but have ignored my last 3 over the past 6 weeks, I could go on for ever about how sh*t their customer service is!

    Rant over.

I was going to join in FOF but you’ve already announced the free tip that will be given to the overall winner so I don’t need to bother now :)

Yes, thank you David, I’ve only read the forum talk in the past but have taken a more active role recently and can say I’ve been made thoroughly welcome by some members and really enjoy it, merry Christmas and happy new year and I look forward to interaction next year, it’s a great forum and very informative.

Expect a lot of scally scousers only there for the beer and really bad very orange fake tans :D

Incidentally did anyone hear McCririck the other day he must have been at Aintree or Haydock, I wasn’t watching but had the tv on and heard him say something along the lines of ‘typical Merseyside behaviour here just what you expect which gives Liverpool a bad name’ :D

I guess some of the crowd were winding him up or acting the fool on camera for channel 4..
