Bet that left O’Brien gobsmacked, to have his ‘star’ totally eclipsed.
good luck to allApologies but don’t have the time available to do a proper write up so I’m putting forward these 3 horses for your consideration. All run at Newmarket and in chronological or we start with DOUBLE RUSH ***, then SOVERIEGN SPELL and finishing off with GAMRAI
good luck to allI’ve set out reasons for my dislike of Labour more than once in this thread.
Don’t worry Wilts, with HDLG, Labour can do no evil, see no evil or hear no evil. HDLG goes back repeatedly because he can’t defend Starmer or Labour on their record for the mess they’ve created except by blaming others.
A Labour MP said ‘It’s not that we don’t believe he didn’t know that Mandelson had failed vetting – it’s that he damn well should have known’…. ‘but then, he should never have appointed him US ambassador in the first place, and this is just the latest example of a serial failure of judgement by Keir.’
Then of course there’s the security briefing papers handed to Starmers team back in 2023 about Mandelson. Which told of concerns of the relationship with Epstein as well as detailing how Mandelson had been targeted by Soviet Intelligence.
good luck to allAs another underling goes under the bus,
I think it’s worth mentioning, again, what Starmer said during the Labour leadership contest.
‘I had 8,000 staff’ (as DPP) ‘when they made mistakes, I carried the can, I never turned on my staff, you should never turn on your staff’.
good luck to allSorry but have to be brief. For your consideration today up at Ripon DANCINGWITHMYSELF ***
good luck to allAfter reviewing Fridays selection maybe Wheels of Fire should be campaigned at the minimum trip?
Today putting forward MAGNA for your consideration.
good luck to allWhat a different world Starmer now lives in.
As leader of the opposition he would demand the government of the day took responsibility for whatever happened on their watch. Now the situation is reversed he pleads ignorance of all things and others should carry the can.
Dan Hodges also says Downing St was informed last Sept ….. they denied it at the time.
good luck to allPutting forward for your consideration SIMPLIFY in the penultimate contest at Thirsk.
good luck to allMandelson fails the vetting process and still appointed to the post of UK ambassador to the US?
Everyone else, foreign and in UK knew about Mandelson, but Starmer pleads ignorance and continues with that stance.
Pre election he painted himself and Labour as ‘whiter than white’ a self righteous party who Starmer said had honestly and integrity.
Now as with previous failings a underling is set to take the fall.
Not even the Labour supporters here can deny that Starmer is stretching credibility beyond reasonable doubt?
good luck to allAt Newbury in the final contest of the day one which looks overpriced after winning readily at Musselburgh is the Hannon trained WHEELS OF FIRE e/w. Generally available at 16/1 this gelding made the running on his return setting things up for the closers but made no mistake 8 days later when going clear in the final half furlong putting daylight between him and his rivals. Since that race the 2nd won next time with the third also running well.
good luck to allHighly respected by other world leaders is laughable ….. he’s a joke
they kick him, say ‘jump’ and Starmer asks how high?
The EU is in decline, has been for many years, and going to continue on that path.
The idea that the EU is the future is like Starmer a joke, it’s a rotting corpse …low growth, high unemployment and protectionist,
good luck to allextract from an article by Quentin Letts (published April 4)
On Wednesday – the very day NASA was lighting those enormous engines that sent Artemis II hurtling into the heavens – Sir Keir held a Downing St press conference at which he maundered on about the woes of the world.
Asked how he would reopen the Strait of Hormuz our dismal haddock of a PM opened and closed his mouth and stammered “we’re prepared to take a sort-of leadership role”. That ‘sort-of’ said it all.
towards the end of the article
Lets have a Labour party leader who can put a swing into the country’s step rather than one who clasps his teddy and hides under the bed-sheets amid yet more bladder leakage
Now we have him off on another jolly trying to make himself look relevant AFTER the fact that peace talks have started due to the efforts of others. His moniker of Captain hindsight is well deserved.
good luck to allOuch! … thought w had another winner in the bag yesterday only to be denied in the final stride.
Although not one of the favourites I think LAKERS E/W in the sprint handicap will be hard to keep out of the frame today following an excellent prep at Lingfield.
good luck to allJust a quick post to put forward for your consideration LITTLE MI MI at Southwell this evening who’s taken her form to a higher level since changing stables and running mainly over the minimum trip. Although overall form reads two wins from 18 runs those wins have come in her last three races and on the a/w which she seems to go much better on compared to turf where she’s yet to win from ten starts.
good luck to allLooks like the ‘assisted dying’ bill is finally biting the dust which in truth should be called assisted suicide.
The question now becomes will Starmer have the balls to make it official Labour policy?
Pre election he promised many people things which were not or have not become policy. Didn’t he personally promise Rantzen to legalise killing people? He’s tried to sneak it in the back door as a private members bill which quite rightly has been booted out with so many flaws it just couldn’t stand up the kind of scrutiny such legislation requires and deserves.
good luck to allWhile not privy to the jockeys instructions in my view Tuscan Point was a win turned into defeat.
Giving Doncaster and Meydan a swerve for Kempton this afternoon where RESPOND *** looks to hold every chance in the Rosebery Handicap to follow up his excellent Chelmsford effort when registering career high numbers and a personal best RPR.
good luck to allDan Hodges (published 22 March)
(headlines)
All leaders can lie when it suits them. But after watching Keir Starmer’s performance over the Mandelson affair, our columnist delivers this devastating verdict ….
The most politically dishonest, deceitful and disreputable PM I have ever known.
Just ask yourself how and why this conclusion was reached?
