A gap that big back to 3rd either means the front 2 are Frankel or the rest aren’t that good over a mile. We’ll see but law of averages probably says its the latter
May 2, 2026 at 15:46 #1765683I didn’t think there were any stars in this race but those front 2 certainly are.
Take the winner out and Aidan would be calling Gstaad the best he’s ever trained lol.
May 2, 2026 at 15:48 #1765684The time was just under the standard.

May 2, 2026 at 15:54 #176568911 lengths back to 3rd nearly lol. Thats 22lbs over a mile. Classics arent supposed to end up like that.
May 2, 2026 at 15:55 #1765690Bet that left O’Brien gobsmacked, to have his ‘star’ totally eclipsed.
good luck to allMay 2, 2026 at 16:05 #1765693Distant Storm looked like he didn’t get up the hill, well beaten in 3rd. Kings Trail (9th)every chance if good enough but wasn’t and Craven winner Oxagon 6th with Avicenna a disappointing last.
Really happy for young Billy Loughnane and George Boughey.
What a terrific little horse Bow Echo is a really well deserved win and Gstaad looked very good too and will progress.Well done to all who backed Bow Echo that was mega impressive

Treated his nag too much like a god again???
May 2, 2026 at 16:15 #1765698Brilliant for everyone concerned the unbeaten horse wins. Travelled brilliant throughout with Billy on board

The more I know the less I understand.
May 2, 2026 at 17:37 #1765726Bow Echo very impressive and so pleased for all connections

May 2, 2026 at 18:46 #1765746Looked like a top-class horse beating a very good horse and then a lot of not-very-good horses and/or non-stayers.
It’ll be fascinating, as always, to see how the form works out for the rest of the season. I’m inclined to think that Bow Echo will hold his own against the older milers when the time comes and could prove equally effective over a mile and a quarter.
Edit: Timeform have already rated Bow Echo at 131.
May 2, 2026 at 22:32 #1765783Happy enough with the win, slightly frustrating i had all my analaysis done and i slightly put myself off him after, but still a nice winner, thankfully buick got the godolphin horse home in 3rd
I was wrong regarding gstaad though, he stayed better than id have thought,
I think distant storm will be alot closer to bow echo nto once that stable form comes back, i dont think gstaad will though
The rest are poor, lacked obvious quality beforehand, has a potential star after it
May 2, 2026 at 23:56 #1765787Wouldn’t write them all off so lightly ham. Oxagon will do better over further (inexplicably has no such entries, despite his breeding crying out for a mile & a quarter plus). Thesecretadversary was all over the place. Pulled hard throughout and seemed to struggle to handle the track.
