Had his winning run cut short last time after being hampered entering the final furlong but finished full of running on the heels of the leading two just being nudged out to maintain his place.Marked up by RP as a ‘eyecarcher’ expect UP THE AGENDA to return to the winners enclosure here.
good luck to allJanuary 27, 2026 at 10:57 #1752123A selection for readers to consider runs at my local track this evening who’s in fine fettle at present and to me seems to prefer going round a bend rather than the straight 5f courses of Newcastle or Southwell. Successful over course and distance at the turn of the year in a classified contest ROGUE DE VEGA repeated the feat two weeks later in a similar handicap to this evenings race traveling well behind the leaders, having to wait for a gap, before taking up the running inside the final furlong and winning I believe with more in hand than the official margin would indicate.
good luck to allFebruary 21, 2026 at 12:38 #1755612Transferred from Hong Kong last Sept and not cutting much ice until recently putting forward for your consideration ATOMIC FORCE e/w at Chelmsford this evening.Following an absence this gelding ran in the Portland at Doncaster under a welter burden of 9-11 and not surprisingly didn’t shine. His next three runs were on the tapeta at Wolverhampton (2) and Southwell before posting good numbers when successful in his latest race at Lingfield, a surface which I believe suited him better than tapeta. The small rise in the weights is less of a worry than his draw so playing him aa a each way prospect would be the thing to do.
good luck to allFebruary 27, 2026 at 11:24 #1756510Although one win from eighteen starts isn’t the greatest recommendation I’m less worried about that stat than the selection being slow from the gates.Last time out CAYMAN TAI raced in the rear and was given far too much ground to make up when entering the straight. However there is a bright spot too in that this striking grey has also put up his best performance on the a/w at this track, also one of his best overall, but I wouldn’t blame anyone if they decide to sit this horse out.
good luck to allFebruary 28, 2026 at 12:42 #1756677apologies about yesterday’s selection I did expect a lot more.
FAR TOO FIZZY e/w … I think you can throw out his last run over 5f and trapped wide throughout.
Drawn better and over a more suitable trip looking for something more like his penultimate run today and at least a place.
good luck to allMarch 2, 2026 at 17:53 #1756952For your consideration tomorrow INITIAL BLUE at my home track.
good luck to allMarch 6, 2026 at 13:05 #1757286Just a thought but perhaps Initial Blue doesn’t act quite as well on tapeta as polytrack?
Must admit to being slightly surprised that racing is still going ahead at Meydan but must make the most of the opportunities that are offered.Believe Buick may have miscalculated today in choosing Masai Moon over EMPEROR’S STAR e/w who in my eyes put up a terrific performance recording good numbers on return from a lengthy absence.
good luck to allMarch 7, 2026 at 12:16 #1757457Dunstall Park’s big day of the year today and putting forward for your consideration the Ed Dunlop trained gelding SUPERPOSITION who registered near career high numbers when returning from nearly four months off the track.Althouugh the stable hasn’t had a recent winner the horses have been running well with Billy Loughnane booked to take the ride, who’s in good form at present and has a decent record at the course.
This evening over at Chelmsford I believe the filly DESDEMONA can follow up her recent success after some near misses with useful apprentice Ryan Kavanagh aboard.
good luck to alladded March 8
In all honesty I cannot say what happened to Superposition or give you any reason why, however Desdemona rescued the day with her success at Chelmsford.March 13, 2026 at 11:31 #1759302The only race I’ve invested on in recent years at the Festival has been the Triumph which opens the final day.Why this race you may ask yourself?
In my long association with horse racing I’ve come across many ways of assessing horses and their performances and as in this case a interesting way to view a particular race.It may be of no surprise to learn I’m putting forward a Willie Mullins horse for your consideration by the name of KAI LUNG e/w who’s currently around 25/1 generally. The geldings only appearance over hurdles came at Naas toward the end of January on heavy ground. Most notable was he beat Tuesdays Juvenile Handicap hurdle winner Saratoga into third.Although I’m concerned about the way the selection pulled on his debut for the stable he’s also in the right hands to progress and looking for at least a placed effort.
good luck to allMarch 14, 2026 at 13:15 #1759922Slightly disappointed with yesterdays selection but in all fairness it was a bit of a long shot.
Today’s selection being put forward for your consideration has a real live chance in the final race of the day.Returning from a six month layoff SPORTS COACH in finishing second recorded near his career high RPR when winning two novice events as a juvenile.Alongside this the gelding registered his best numbers to date.Although he runs into his conqueror from last time with that last run now under his belt and a 3lb pull for being beaten half a length I do believe things are very much in his favour to return to the winners enclosure.
good luck to allMarch 16, 2026 at 13:34 #1760208Not often a classified race features here but I believe KENTO can follow up his recent course and distance success from a good draw, better than last time, where he seems to hold all the cards.
good luck to allMarch 18, 2026 at 10:09 #1760365Although Jack Channon’s horse Sarab Star has been well backed they say you should never be scared of one horse as we have seen even heavily odds on shots have failed to deliver when it looked like all they had to do was turn up to collect.I’m going to oppose him with APIARIST who’s own a/w record isn’t to be sniffed at and recorded good numbers when last seen at Lingfield. However it wouldn’t be fair of me not to point out the current stable form which is without a winner for the past two weeks.Ladbrokes at the time of writing are offering 11/2 about the selection which would give a positive return for a 1-2 placing.
good luck to allMarch 19, 2026 at 13:03 #1760434Thought Apiarist gave the two principals too much leeway in front but these things happen.
Clive Cox although not thought the the force he’s been in the past can still produce a good horse to win which he did with FAST TRACK HARRY at Lingfield just under three weeks ago.Not seen on a racecourse since early Sept the selection was gelded later that month and seems to have been given plenty of time. With all but one of his rivals having had at least one run recently and registering career high numbers & RPR with just a 3lb rise in the weights I think he’s well worth following today.
good luck to allMarch 21, 2026 at 11:49 #1760625Just a quick post as I have errands to run to say I believe TUSCAN POINT in the opener at Southwell looks worth a investment.
good luck to allMarch 28, 2026 at 12:44 #1761220While not privy to the jockeys instructions in my view Tuscan Point was a win turned into defeat.
Giving Doncaster and Meydan a swerve for Kempton this afternoon where RESPOND *** looks to hold every chance in the Rosebery Handicap to follow up his excellent Chelmsford effort when registering career high numbers and a personal best RPR.
good luck to allApril 2, 2026 at 12:59 #1761747Just a quick post to put forward for your consideration LITTLE MI MI at Southwell this evening who’s taken her form to a higher level since changing stables and running mainly over the minimum trip. Although overall form reads two wins from 18 runs those wins have come in her last three races and on the a/w which she seems to go much better on compared to turf where she’s yet to win from ten starts.
good luck to allApril 3, 2026 at 11:11 #1761821Ouch! … thought w had another winner in the bag yesterday only to be denied in the final stride.
Although not one of the favourites I think LAKERS E/W in the sprint handicap will be hard to keep out of the frame today following an excellent prep at Lingfield.
