Indeed! Just started raining, the forecast for tomorrow looks mental lol, who’d have thought it’s the height of summer?!
Written in more detail on Big Race Discusson section, but wind should have no impact today
Always happy to try and help us punters win some money! No rain in sight it’s been dry ever since yesturday and the wind has really dropped, still a touch windy but nothing out of the ordinary, can’t imagine this level of wind will have any impact on the front runners, in fact it’s even a slight south to north wind now
Just spoke to clerk, good to soft, soft in places 6.6 on the stick
Weather looks clear at the moment, a few clouds but none that look like they’re carrying any rain, windy too (headwind down the straight west to east) so probably good to soft (but on the softer side I’d assume) today, haven’t bumped into the Clerk yet so haven’t managed to ask him.
Quite strong wind already from west to east, no rain in sight yet
Thanks for the wise words Jac, really hope everything is ok your end too with Dave
Had another look at the race and it’s Designer 14/1 and Acklaim Express 28/1 that appeal to me now at the prices, I’m sort of putting a line through those at the top of the market in these handicaps.
I do love prawns and anything mint/chocolate related, I’ll have to give it another try, especially if we find the winner of this race, the handicaps this week seem especially difficult though.
Only read through the first two pages and I’m already howling! These are tremendous!!!!
I drove to Selsey beach a few weeks back Ian, looked out of my car window and saw that it was no different to the beach at Bognor Regis, so I turned around and drove home.
A most disappointing affair.
Cheers Nathan, yeah I’ve been hesitant about seeing her again, the whole things a mess really
lol but life would be boring if it was simple!Marhaba The Champ looks a good price at 20/1, was fav for its last race at Epsom when it underperformed – in which the horse apparently didn’t like the first time tongue tie). If forgiven for that last run, which I’m willing to do at the price, then the horse could run a big race, has winning form on g/s ground too.
Very low wind today, will try to get on here during my break tomorrow (on course) with an update on the weather and wind
Hello one and all! Jac I hear you were worried about me, which I was actually honoured to discover via Nathan, though he did inform me of this a couple of weeks ago I’ve only just seen his message! I had one of those months where I just kept to myself, without going on and on, that ex of mine who I made a thread about in the lounge all those months ago, got back in touch with me, she’s now got an 8 week old baby and wants us to get back together (the baby isn’t mine). The whole situation has well and truly bamboozled my brain and couldn’t have caught me more by surprise, I have no idea what on earth to do!
Anyway, I’ve been keeping myself busy working at Goodwood which has been a right laugh! Can’t wait for the festival to start tomorrow.
With regards to the comp, I think I took some early season gambles which have well and truly bitten me in the backside
, oh well, as long as I don’t come last!Hope everyones well and manage to find plenty of winners this week, though a warning for the Qatar meeting, the ground will be rather dodgy, can see it being either soft or (even if it’s good to soft) tacky, I fully expect plenty of odd results.
EDIT – Forgot to add my scores! I’m on 3790, which it says makes me rank 718.
Haha of course Ian! Been miserable this weather hasn’t it, June was lovely but it feels like it’s been 4-5 weeks with barely a sight of the sun!
Rain has stopped now and it doesn’t look like it’ll rain again any time soon, still very overcast though.
Rained on/off all day today, just light rain more than a deluge, no sun in sight though and wasn’t windy at all compared to normal, would have thought it’ll be soft or good-soft for tomorrow’s racing.
