I added him to the nominations Ian – I felt that his display in winning two Breeders Cup races entitled him to inclusion. He remains one of the world’s finest.

Well you culd have added Seamus Heffernan amongost other great rides a couple of Irish Classics, much better season than Frankie

Inglis Drever for me, denman was awesome in the henessey & gold cup, but i can still picture the drever jumping the last to battle up the hill with everyone urging him home, great sights, sounds, atmosphere – LEGEND

Vote here for your Trainer of the Year 2008 – JUMPS

Why is there no Irish trainers on this list?

Come on lads – let it go – 22 year of hurt etc etc!

exactly it’s not as if we go on about 800 years

MARADONA is a legend i was 10 when he won the world cup in 86 and was in total awe watching him that year i will always remember him as the best player i have seen unless someone else comes along in my lifetime…

That’s down to the individual horse really Ian some can get away with it some simply can’t, when they go out they stop to absolutely nothing like Sizing Europe did…….his huge stride changed to a military two step in that race

I was absolutely thrilled with the way he ran and stll feel he has got to be the one they will all have to beat come March……lets not forget he was 6/4 for the race year and in the eyes of many would have won had he not racked himself at a critical moment.

with you on that one Fist, although i think it might be a bit harder than i 1st thought, something about Binocular win sticks out

Below is quotes from Ruby after the CC i cant see why people are trying to knock him, i am also a fan of Tidal Bay and hope he runs well but i want another superstar in the racing world, when you know Kauto Star or Denman etc are running you really look forward to the race cause you know you will see an animal that will be talked about for years to come so i hope MM wins sat…..

The performance took the breath away from those who know their racing but it took the breath more than anyone from the man who had to hold the reins over those two miles of athletic bliss. Between gulps of air, Ruby tried to explain just what he’d experienced. But he couldn’t really find the words. "Ah, he’s — Jesus, he’s some horse. He’s only a five-year-old! That was — ah sure every step of the way — they went a hell of a gallop and I was running away everywhere — and I was thinking — I’m going so well it doesn’t matter. Just get over the fences, that was all."

im looking for a bit of value, so i am going to go for 2 outsiders, slim pickings as he gave me a great run for my hard earned cash in last 2 nationals and Royal County star when Mr.Martin sends one over bottom of the weights in a valuable handicap i tend to take notice he also has a good piece of form with Noftra Pere so these 2 will sufice with the latter my main bet

Massaini Maguire ran vey well after long lay off and could be one to keep an eye on for this race has won at Cheltenham a couple of times also!!

Just had my 1st AP bet for this race, i took 16/1 on the above named horse (it’s only a small bet) not sure if its his intended target but i like they way he won last week and with his previous Cheltenham form consists of a win against the raved about TIDAL BAY so at the moment this looks like a bit of value if he lines up!!!
