Baby P was tortured to death in his own home despite having 60 home visits by social work and police.
No-one’s fault .. makes me sick.
Sack the fcuking lot of them.
I have been watching this on the news, someone tell me it’s a throw back from a bad trip.
November 15, 2008 at 01:07 #189804What disturbs me almost as much is the media, for whatever well intentioned or legal reasons they may have, referring to this little boy as ‘Baby P’, instead of Baby Peter, which I believe is his real name.
A final indignity for the young child.
November 15, 2008 at 01:36 #189813The por baby is dead and the mother and her lover who inflicted such terrible torture are allowed a cloak of anonimity. Name them!!
One consolation is they will have a very rough time in prison.
The one person who really winds me up on this one is that head of Child Services at the Council – Sharon Shoesmith – is the word "sorry" not in her volcabulary? In every interview all she has done is avoid questions about the culpability and keeps on saying how well her department performs, Does she have no shame – she is a truly obnoxious woman.
November 15, 2008 at 01:44 #189817I don’t think they have been named because there are other charges pending.
November 15, 2008 at 02:09 #189822I remember bob geldof did that fathers for justice documentary a load of years ago, and he interviewd the minister for childcare or social services (or whatever the department is called), and aswell as coming across as generally a complete b1tch, she said that there was no situation where the father deserved to be given preference of custody over the mother.
I think that this case shows that that is not always the case, although at the same time I would suspect from the fathers comments (that he had no idea what was going on), which would suggest he didnt see much of the child, bearing in mind the 60 odd reported visits from police and social services. Even if the child was given over to the grandparents on the fathers side it would have kept him alive.
It is very sad that death appears to be the limit of abuse before something is done in these cases and this isnt the first.
One thing I have not found clear is- who was it called out the police and social services on all those occasions? It wouldnt have been the perpetrators and the father says he knew nothing about what was going on, so surely those who kept calling the police etc must be absolutely fuming that it came to this.
November 15, 2008 at 03:29 #189842On hearing and reading about this case I almost felt a sense of relief that the boy had died. At least his suffering ended.
All involved in the case who had any sense of decency would resign and go work in call centre or something – anywhere really away from kids and away from responsibility.
November 17, 2008 at 12:58 #190199I hope the scum get 20 years minimum and the day before their release someone slits their throats slowly.
There is no defence for their actions.November 17, 2008 at 14:48 #190222It is absolutely awful.
There is more on the story here…

I couldnt read it all though, i have no idea how people cando that to a little, defenceless young child.
November 18, 2008 at 22:24 #190498I find it so hard to understand that with all the input certain agencies had in this tragic lads short life(or rather exsistance) NOT ONE had the guts to fight for his very basic human rights….truly shocking

November 20, 2008 at 16:13 #190805Where was the child’s natural father in all this. Why couldn’t he take him back when he knew he was being abused ? Or is he another inadequate social parasite.

Poor little Peter, may he rest in peace.
November 21, 2008 at 12:56 #191032Welcome to the forum Maggie .. the kids natural father had tried to get the baby off its Mother, but the way the system is in this country, there are almost no circumstances that the Father would get custody of the child before the Mother. I don’t know if he was a waster though.
November 21, 2008 at 17:10 #191086The same day that Baby P died a 3yo toddler in New Zealand – Nia Glassie was eventually killed by her step-father and his brother. Her mother did nothing – she let them put Nia in the washing machine (even when the girl tried to climb out they kept pushing her back in) and while the toddler was lying dieing in a coma her mother was out clubbing.
Below details what happened to the poor girl

Can’t believe stuff like what happened to Baby-P and Nia still goes on today nor that their own parents could do something like that
