Was disappointed that Hardy Eustace wasn’t battling out the finish to be honest. Doesn’t really make Sizing Europe or Jered look great does it even if the former will come on for the run.
come on,he gave his all once more!but the other two were just that bit better on the day.thats racing.period.

I’m not criticising the horse I just thought he’d figure in the finish. I guess I over-rated his recent form I had him down as still capable of running to around 160 I’m now thinking that is too high and in relation its made me worried about the form levels of Jered and Sizing Europe. A 3/4 fit Sizing Europe if he really is Champion Hurdle class should’ve still been able to beat a low-mid 150’s Hardy Eustace, should’ve been able to run a stone below his best and squeeze home.
December 2, 2008 at 08:34 #193695That’s down to the individual horse really Ian some can get away with it some simply can’t, when they go out they stop to absolutely nothing like Sizing Europe did…….his huge stride changed to a military two step in that race

I was absolutely thrilled with the way he ran and stll feel he has got to be the one they will all have to beat come March……lets not forget he was 6/4 for the race year and in the eyes of many would have won had he not racked himself at a critical moment.
