Judging by the sizes of the rear ends waddling down any High St. self resposibility went out of the window years ago, when will people realise its loads cheaper to knock yourself up a healthy meal at home than to buy a sugar & salt laden takeaway.

Agreed, but that is their choice IMO, and they themselves should be prepared to accept teh consequences of their own actions. Another shocking (IMO) is this minimum price for alcohol malarky – because of a small minority of idiots, the price has to go up for everyone (or is it a sneaky tax). Quite honestly, I think its pathetic.

Another example of the creeping Nanny State if you ask me.

Successive governments seem to have been obsessed with legislating on everything. Whatever happened to the idea of self responsibility?

Obviously, I watch both depending on which chanel the racing is on.

ATR – is better in the mornings (as RUk dont put anything on it wouldn’t be difficult!). Boycie is well worth the time of day.

The RUK covering of racing is superior IMO. As you would probably expect for a subscription chanel which tends to have the better racing. I don’t tend to listen to too much in the way of pundits, although most of them do seem to be very capable/accomplished, exept Luck, Richard Hoiles and Steve Mellish who are all outstanding IMO. Rishi Persad continues to be out of his depth in comparion.

So, all in all I go RUK.

Good result for horse and connections.

However, hope that they dont go to the well to often with the horse, hope to see the horse come back next year as good as ever.

It is simply the Germans showing their true colours and attempting, through "diplomatic" means what they failed to achieve in two world wars.

Once again they will eventually fail.

Part of me wants to agree with this, but unfortunately the truth of the matter is probably somewhat more simple: "he who pays the piper calls the tune" springs vey much to mind……

Personally, I wish to place on record that, unlike Ryan Giggs, if you catch me shaxxing a glamour model with a massive chest you can tell anyone you like!!

WOW! These dogs are majestic, everything you’d need in a dog. Watched a video on them just a minute ago, they are a cross between the Weimaraner and German Pointer, the thing that attracted me to the Wermaraner was their big feet!

I dont think this is right is it? The Vizsla is an Hungarian dog, whereas the Weimarana and German Pointer are both of German decent.
There have been many crosses between the Weim and Vizsla, which produces a dog very similar to the Vizsla but with a chocolate brown coat. I’ve only ever seen 1 and it was stunning, although they do seem a bit steep to me at around £750 for a cross breed.

    My other favourite doags are:
    Border Collie
    Doberman
    German Sheppard

Very much agree with the first two posters. However, we might aswell as accept it as it is not going away.

In fact, its more likely to become longer, not shorter. Now that is something which, IMO, would be of great detriment to the festival.

To be fair Reet, I very much doubt that he was claiming that top class horses are at their absolute peak over a variety of distances, just that top class horses are effective over a wider range than most people appreciate.

Personally, I think Mellish is the best presenter around.

I’d also tend to agree with him on this point too.

Not a joke as such, but probably close enough to qualify (this was taken from one of those desk daily calendars). Made me smile!
