Funny race that, nothing happened for a circuit, then everything happens in the space of strides.
Quite rightly, i’m sure that Dazzling Jim will have made it into hundreds of ‘shocking beast’ lists up and down the country after this effort. He made seveal attempts to pull himself up and crash through the railings on the run in, then got collaed near the post. After the race, I thought the girl leading him round looked as though she wished she was somewhere else!!

Richard Johnsons bad day at the office continued later in the day on Rushneeriver. He looked to have the race sewn up, when he appeared to have a look round and momentarily stop riding, having failed to see Potts of Magic finishing strongly. A few choice words were said to Johnson from certain areas of the crowd. Does anyone know if the stewards had anoter look, and if so was any action taken?

I disagree about how much he gets paid has relvance to this.

At the end of the day the guy is a proffessional footballer. He should know that with all the cards being drafted around in this tournament, he simply cannot do what he did (whether there was intent or not). End of. Then to compound the error, he then goes onto push an opponent before a card was given. The actions of a complete and utter idiot.

But really, should we be surprised at this? Previouly in the tornament we have seen him punching he dug out, throwing his shoes and socks around, and also facing off a linesman. This was downright petulance, from a silly little boy who needs to grow up.

But will this country accept that? Not on your nelly it will, we have to find an excuse and Ronaldo will do nicely. Ws Ronaldo the reason we went out. Not really no. The reason that we went out is the fact that they turned in 5 non descipt, abject peformances. Again. Theres always an excuse tho – its Maradonna, its penalties (has anyone ever asked themselves why we have always actualy failed to beat the side in the first place?), its Ronaldo, it the ref.
Excuses last 1 game, not 40 years.

The real reason? Perhaps its just the fact England are not as good as they think they are.

Also, just to add to wit’ s contribution above, the chequered coat of arms of croatia wasnt actually Ustashe symbol, although they did use it both on their hats and the the Ustashe flag.

The actual symblo of Ustashe was a U. The flag of Ustashe was a red, white and blue horisontal stripe, coat of arms in the centre with the u in the top left hand corner.

I seem to remember Pipe being called to the stewards at the Tripleprint meeting re the performance of his horses.

Does anyone have any information on what the result of that visit was, and also is there any possibility of him being required to pay them another anti-social call tomorrow if this continues?

My initial reaction was that mwds came across a little too much and possibly checked the GC run a bit, but looking at the head on, whilst he did wander there didnt appear to be any real interferance, and the race would not have been turned over. little surprised the stewards didnt have a little look though!

True stormont, but I should imagine that the heavy fall of his jockey today will have done the Listeners backers confidence the world of good.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but its true.

Personally, i fanct CF, but its getting a bit short now!

"Having said that, I’ve never gone out with a French woman who didn’t turn out to be a phenomenal pain in the arse."

Steve, I really dont think there was any need to add the word "French" in that sentence! :(
