I had a saver on Beef or Salmon. My main bet in the race was Hedgehunter, if you trawl through the archives you’ll see I started a thread after his Hennessy in which I suggested Hegehunter was the one.

I apologise, you never suggested Monkerhostin could win a Gold Cup.

Not at all EC. I got it wrong. It happens odd times. The difference is when I do get it wrong, my toys stay in the pram, I don’t ask daylight to delete my membership, I don’t sulk for a few days.

Okay i’m guessing here but no mistake is more embarrassing than saying WAR OF ATTRITION WILL NOT WIN THE GOLD CUP which is what I said. You picked the wrong one EC?

Hard luck to all BoS backers.  However, a lot of people did say that BoS couldn’t win a GC.  WoA deserved his success, a good chaser.  Would he have beaten a stronger field?  Who knows.  It was a good victory, congrats to connections.
